"Much appreciated, Chief! I'd suggest Downtown area. If they decide disconnect the island base we probably have to steal ourselves a cargo ship too, unless we try air transport. We can't get our loot out quickly enough, but they could get in, using their portals. This adds more complications which, I believe, will be there in any case. Ever since I joined the team, idea of getting in taking what we need and leaving has not been working. We always get ourselves into a trouble of some sort, so I have become really sceptical about flawless performances. Downtown sounds logistically more likeable, but if we are going to steal their plans, then it must be done clean and quiet, because plans and base are located in same area and we can't afford getting Dark Matter getting alerted. I don't like idea of storming in with guns blazing. Delicate infiltration would be my kind of action. I have selfish reasons to rob them blind and I don't want to put anybody in danger because this particular gentlemen decided satisfy some of his exotic wishes, so my first thought was to do a solo mission, but then I thought that I could use some back up. If you guys want, then feel free to join so we can play four musketeers there. I was going to visit Torc Mok about getting a truck, but as you said - we can always steal ourselves one. It increases our risk factor, but gives us a chance to practice our co op skills. Plus, we can keep the truck to ourselves."
Volodja did not want to reveal his real reasons but they were obvious. And others figure them out soon. He saw how happy and alive Sandy felt during their virtual date, so he thought to offer her at least illusion of being alive and enable her to feel taste of food and drinks and breeze on her face...And they can't relay on training room all the time. Others need that room too. He can't give her new body or regain her former one, although it was his biggest wish. Making conditions in his living quarters suitable for Sandy, was better than having nothing at all. Unless he meets wandering genie who fulfils his biggest dream.
He finished his rum, turned to Atticus and said: "Chief gave us his blessings and offered his help. We have two possible targets - the base on the island North-East, but it can be easily cut off from mainland so we may get trapped there. Second one is around Downtown. E-rep failed to take that place over several times, but they aren't us. I'd go for Downtown base because of logistics. And speaking of them - Chief mentioned a Titan truck near Delta Bunker we can use. And we can get armoured truck from Raiders camp. Bunker plans and blue prints are located in Downton central building and I have a feeling that Chief wants to challenge his skills there. Oh, and Vo probably joins us too. If we succeed, we gather some high tech, necessary data about Dark Matter and a new truck. Plus other possible bonuses. And we play a trick to Dark Matter. So it's time to get equipped for Grand Theft Auto. One more thing - you said if I MUST to live near you..."Volodja grinned "Somehow I always end up living next door to you ever since I came on board. If you don't wanted that to happen, then I would still be living inside my crate. There is a saying: "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer", but I doubt that you consider me to be your enemy which leaves us less options to choose from."

I take a big swig of my rum and glance at Volodja. "Remember the empty room will put you directly across the hall from me, but it will make Taffer your next door neighbor. Also none of the bedroom suites will be able to be fully converted to a holo room without a lot of work and pricey gear including things we can't easily get from Dark Matter. I can use your room's comm and computer systems to install holo-emmitters and my Ego control command protocols, but it will just be a bedroom that a EGO can be corporial in. If you want an exotic locale then you will still have to visit a holo-training room.
As for our shopping, downtown is the best choice. Their island is a major disaster waiting to happen. Not only do they have the bridge rigged with explosive in case they need to blow it, but that whole island has enough buried explosives to sink it and keep their secrets if they feel the need. I am quite capable of being stealthy and getting the blueprints, but so is Taffer, and he is a better computer hacker than me. So perhaps I should take my Calling bird to a high point when we get there, and do any sniping that may be needed and leave the infiltration and hack to Taffer. He is the better Hacker, I the better assassin. Seeing as Delta Bunker is Taffer's old base of operations, he can easily get that truck. I'd suggest getting one from Last Chance but I removed their engines for my own purposes long ago, so none of them currently run. We can regroup after Taffer gets the plans. Then decide from there. Unless you or he has a better idea. Now if you'll excuse me, I am going to go tinker with my gear. Contact me when everything is a go."

Volodja listened rum drinking Atticus, and had very small sip of his own rum. There wasn't much left anyway. And he answered:
"Anything goes, Giant. I just want Sandy to feel more alive when she is with me. It makes her happy when she can feel objects and people. No need for something fancy for our modest needs. But if I can enable her more happiness, then I will do it. Or die, trying to accomplish my goal. And you still want me to be a kid in your block. Admit it, Giant. I think I can get that armoured truck from Raiders without spilling too much blood and sweat. I used to be quite good infiltrator myself. If I didn't got out from my crate too early, you would never discovered me, so maybe I can help with our plan stealing plot too. I am ready, when you are."

As I head for the door I say, "Honestly I don't care where you live. However taking the empty room next to Taffer is better for both of our girlfriends. The farther away Sandy projects her hologram, the more strain it puts on her EGO and Lady's mind, and the more power it drains from them. The Holo-training room is located under Lady's and my suite, which is probably why it doesn't tax Sandy much. However if you don't want an upgrade to an empty suite in the Officers wing, where you will have a decent side bedroom and bathroom suite and be safer on Sandy and Lady that is your choice. The Holo-training room is located under Lady's and my suite, which is probably why it doesn't tax Sandy much.
However it does have an empty storeroom connected to it. We could have Zork install a halldoor into that store room and make it your classroom or whatever you prefer. However if it is your classroom, then neither you or Lady have to go far to get to it. You will be able to enter from your room. She from the hall, and she won't fall asleep on your bed anymore. But fine you are no longer an annoyance to me, and I no longer merely tolerate you. Is that what you wanted to hear, Fool?
If not then think about this: I don't share my private stock of rum, which I buy with my own scrip, with just anybody and you are sitting here freely drinking it. So that should tell you what you want to know. You have proven to be a trustworthy teammate, and confidant. That better? Now if you don't mind I have some legendary guns requiring epic or legendary mods. So I will go mod my guns. I am ready anytime you, Taffer and Vo have all the details worked out."
I then go to my personal armory to mod my gear.

"We deal with rooms later," thought Volodja, looking after leaving Giant. "First we are going to get all tech we need, even if I have to chew my way trough enemy hordes with my bare teeth. But I have some better gear on my mind already than fists and teeth, although my plan for getting truck contains using some sticks and stones."
Then he informed Taffer about conversation between him and the Giant. But he told him only details concerning the mission, not the ones about their private lives. When Taffer ponders about their plans and suggestions, he can take time for getting himself equipped with everything he needs. So he went to armoury. The public one, of course. There was enough toys to make any weapon nut happily drooling, but not him. Weapons are only tools, meant for killing. You must use them in difficult times when chaos breaks lose, but you don't have to like them. But even if you don't like them, you depend on your weapons and must carefully hand-pick your arsenal. That's how he always thought and acted. Next few hours he spent in target practice area, getting familiar with every piece he had chosen.
After intensive weapon testing Volodja stored his equipment. It was lunch time so he moved to canteen, chatted with Ralph the Barkeep a bit, and asked him to add an extra crate of Iranthiant rum to next food order and passed necessary amount of scrip to his hand, telling Ralp not to mention to anybody about him making that order. It was supposed to be a surprise for the Giant, although he intended to save couple of bottles to himself for sentimental reasons. Then he just sat down and ate, still waiting for call from Taffer.

Right after the conversation about their new mission, Taffer took one of the runners and left the base. He took the road western road to the Outer Sunset Stop where his Black Challenger was hidden in the ruins. Mutants, who were inhabiting the place, were dumb enough to not notice the stash but aggressive enough to keep curious people out. He watched their patrols for a while, and then approached his stash when no one of them were looking and exchanged the runner for Challenger. Then he drove all the way to the Bloodbath and further to the Delta bunker area, where he made his car climb the steep hill, which hid his living area from bystander's view. He approached his T4 Titan truck which served as his home not long ago but it felt like ages for him. While looking around, Taffer noted that it looked no one had found this place except him and no one tried to steal or loot the truck. Probably the general VBI map that mistakenly marked this area as inaccessible was still doing its job of keeping ark hunters away from the place. He activated a simple electric trap on his Challenger and locked it, then disabled one on the truck and got inside. Em Dash confirmed for him no one has touched anything in it, so he started its engine. He left it to idle for a minute or two while he was checking the radio hijacking equipment installed on the truck which could come in handy during their mission too. Once he ensured everything was still working fine, he rolled back south. While on his way, he called Volodja. "Hi Volodya, I got us a truck", he said, "Meet me at Bug'n'Chug, from where we'll start our search for an armored trailer to get us more capacity". He already had a couple of locations in mind. The first one was the Cronkite bunker. A large raider camp, but most of its population could be easily blocked in the ravine leading to the bunker entrance while they were hijacking the trailer. The second one was on the road between Seascape Farms and Last Chance. It was usually blocked by several raiders' vehicles, but the camp often became empty whenever an arkfall occurred nearby.

"On my way, Chief," replied Volodja and shouted to the Giant "Better get your big butt out from your toyshop. Chief wants us to be in Bug'n'Chug so we can get that armoured truck, we need. Meet me at the garage, but hurry up or I will be driving."
Then he finished his lunch, giving Atticus time to grab his shiny guns and start moving. He walked to his cabin, got his killing apparatus from there, paced into garage, waited Giant to appear and choose a set of wheels for them. Both they jumped into vehicle simultaneously, strapped themselves and after Giant burned some rubber on garage floor, they headed towards the rendezvous place at high speed.

"Hi Chloe!" Began Belle Starr. "You the only one in the War Room! Yeah, I figured either you or Taffer would be on duty there! Please be sure and tape this audio for the rest of the team! We wanted to stay in touch with the guys so they wouldn't worry, so I got this old satellite phone working - save on EGO energy so that Sandy and MOM can be out more as holograms! I can't use it when we are moving, and the satellites aren't always in the right position, but I'll try to contact you at each leg of our trip. Anyway we are in Yuma for the night! Good news: we found a nice room above a bar here, and everybody here seems real nice! Won't let us buy a single drink here!"
"PARTAH!" Yelled Lady Christianna, her voice easily recognizable from the background, along with Katy Perry's "California Gurls" song.
Belle said emphatically, "Sandy, either cut her off or help her metabolize the liquor faster please! Anyway, the bad news is the beaches here aren't much better than those in San Francisco! In other words, yucky! Tell Atticus that Lady still refuses to wear the red bikini I got her, preferring an ugly one piece bathing suit! She wouldn't tell me why, but I suspect him, so tell him I'm giving him the evil eye! *giggle* Tell Vo I'm using gobs of the lotion he got me, so no sunburn yet, thank goodness! What? Oh, Sandy says to tell Volodja she didn't get sunburned either! Ha, ha Sandy, you are SO funny!"
"Did we run into any trouble on the way? Not much! A bushwhacking bounty hunter tried to collect the price on Erika's head at a small road stop about halfway to Yuma! I think she was only a target of opportunity, but she made short work of him! Erika blurred and made him a permanent soprano, leaving him alive she said to make an example of him to other like-minded bounty hunters! Otherwise, we ran into a group of raiders while we had the roof down enjoying the sun, but tell Rosa the shield roof worked great - let's the sunlight in but keeps the bullets out!"
"Partah!" Yelled Lady again, but this time Belle ignored her, although the other ladies could be heard laughing in the background.
"Anway," Continued Belle, "Tomorrow morning we are going to travel east along the proposed MagLev-Line to T'nara, then continue west to Dallas, and spend the night there! From there, we're going to N'Awlins and spend a couple of days just to enjoy some music and visit some of my old friends! Then on to Freedom, Alabama, and real beaches! YAHOO! Please tell the boys not to worry and to not get into any trouble - well, anymore than usual! Ok girls, this is for the guys, on three: 1-2-3!"
Once Belle said three, Belle's, Lady's, and Sandy's voices could be heard hollering, "Love you! Miss you!"
Then Belle said, "Erika, you didn't say it with the rest of us - "
"I don't love anyone there," Interrupted Erika in a matter of fact way, "I like them sure, but NOT love them."
Belle said with disappointment, "You are missing the spirit of - " The transmission ended as a satellite rotated out of position.

When I met Uljanov in the garage in my VBI infi helm and Trion Supporter armor my EXL pistol by my side and EXL LMG over my shoulder with my Calling bird in hand, all now fully modded, I started to uncover my new Fuschia Challenger, I had gotten delivered a day earlier. Volodja opened the garage doors, as I did so. Then I slid my LMG and sniper through the window and into the back. Then I hopped through the window, without bothering with opening the door and Uljanov got into the passenger seat the same way. As I turned on the ignition, I looked at him and said, "Hold on and fasten your seatbelt, Fool. Gotta test this thing's suped up hemi!!" I then stomped on the gas, burning rubber as we left the garage. As soon as we were out of it, Chloe closed the garage doors remotely and told us to have fun.
As we head north to Bug N Chug, I turn on the sattelite radio and play some road music.
We make great time getting to Bun N' Chug. Only trouble on the way was a lost Hellbug warrior sleeping in the road, that we got rid of easily. After we pull into Bug N chug, Uljanov and I get out. "Uljanov, there's Taffer. Let's go and say Hello. When we head out, I will follow in my Challenger."

"Hello Chief," said Volodja. "I assume that you have located those those poor bastards, who are about losing their precious truck. I'll accompany you and let the Giant drive his new four wheeled mistress. If he holds that steering wheel any longer, I am afraid that Lady gets herself a dangerous competitor. It's safer for me to drive with you, because big guy might get jealous and I don't think that throwing me out from a car at high speed is part of our battle plans." He grinned and continued: "I think we need someone soon to pick up all our cars we are leaving by the road. Private property is not a sacred any more, and I already know some gentlemen in vicinity who left their home so they could steal a car. So I assume that there will be more people like them. We better be safe than sorry. A propos - mind if I test my little theory while we are in Raiders camp? I want to try some psychological warfare. You can be my eyewitnesses and get rid of people, who will try to mess with my little experiment. Must start with small test group and you probably know the perfect place for that already. And I have another suggestion, Chief. You are best hacker around, so can you insert a virus to Dark Matter security system or change it a bit while we are after plans, so instead of triggering alarms, that system makes a long distance call to Australian erotic line or something similar?"
They got into their Titan truck and started to move. Giant followed them in his Challenger. Volodja imagined how torturing it must be for Atticus, who was sitting in his powerful car and could not play the Road Runner. Meep! Meep! Finally their little convoy stopped on the road between Seascape Farms and Last Chance where Raider gang had set up their camp and roadblock, callecting toll from travellers who dared to pass that place. Team members left their vehicles and Volodja started with his lecture right away while observing the situation:
"According to traditions of Japanese Noh theatre, all performers rehearse their parts separately first. Only a few days before the show opens, they have one and only opportunity to rehearse their act together. Method they use is based on philosophy of "ichi-go ichi-e" ("one chance, one meeting"). Roughly speaking it means that every experience different people gain during their meeting, happens once in a lifetime. That's how our team acts in a battle - we all do our individual part there, melt them together on theatre of battle and create an ensemble play. Usually we don't rehearse at all, but improvise later. This time we can actually have our final rehearsal before grand opening, although I already have my suspicions about our main stage act. You may wake up now, stop pretend that you are interested about my lecture, and start to actually listen what I have in mind about this particular situation. This is the plan:
As I see, there is an active Ark fall nearby, meaning that our Divine special effect team is already at work. Most of Raiders are hiding from it, trying to maintain their lives. But they left four sentries outside so nobody could not steal their vehicles. All of them sitting around their camp-fire and looking nervously that Ark fall. I will handle them by myself, so I can practice my infiltration skills. I know it's unfair to you, but it is going to be more unfair to them, that I guarantee. And look it that way - I dragged you along, so I should be the one who risks his neck most. You can take your positions uphill, cover me with sniper rifles and get rid of anyone who dares to stick his snout out. If Chief lack's one, he can use that Ranger I took from armoury. When we are going after plans we will be using same tactics, suggested by the Giant, so here is our chance of lifetime to try them. We have about 20 minutes max. Ark falls usually last that long. So I better start."
He lowered himself to his stomach, pressed his body tightly against the ground and started to crawl, moving steadily and very carefully towards Raider camp. He did not used his EGO powers to get to the camp faster, because he needed them for that experiment he had in mind.
While he was crawling, Volodja continued his lecture (because he wanted to calm himself and keep his mind concentrated): "Raider's lifestyle is very stressful. As a Raider you are under constant pressure, you fear death and your are afraid of your leader. All this affects one's psychological condition, especially if you experience everything, I mentioned above, during longer time period. Those Raiders are ticking bombs, waiting to be set off. They are in a verge of breakdown, because they know that rest of the gang is in safety, while they have to face possible dangers from Ark fall. All they need some outer help to explode. Raider's inner insecurity will transform into anger very quickly. Otherwise they would not be Raiders. Actually I am about to do them a favour, enabling them to let some steam out. Allow me to demonstrate, Gentlemen."
He turned cloak on, sneaked closer, aimed carefully....and throw a little stone, scratching a cheek of a nervous raider who just turned his head to look at Ark fall.
"Who the fuck did it?!" raider yelled. "Who did what, you dumb ass?" rest of the gang replied to him. "You hit me with a stone?" "Are you nuts? Nobody didn't do anything!" "If you try that again I'll kick your teeth in."
Volodja waited a bit, caught another suitable moment and threw in another stone, hitting same cheek again. At same time he poked nearest Raider with a stick and grinned when those two jumped to their feet, ready to go after each other throats. They managed to calm themselves down, but Volodja didn't gave up. After awhile he threw a stone again, making all Raiders getting to their feet and starting to beat up each other, because they could not hold themselves back any more. Couple of next minutes were full of fist punches, foot kicks and lot of obscene words. Since they all were really angry everything went quite fast. Soon free stooges were squirming on the ground, moaning and cursing from pain and last man standing ended up in dust like his fellow Raiders, because Volodja kicked his butt with his invisible boot.
Then he relieved them from their weapons, turned his cloak off, pulled out his sub machine gun, pointed it at beaten up Raiders and said calmly: "Let me give you advice as exchange for your truck. If I were you, I would not stay here and wait when your leader discovers that instead protecting your wheels you started a brawl, allowing someone to steal one of your trucks. I would run away as far as possible, wash my face, get a new haircut and consider career change. Actually I would be running already, instead of listening here." He grinned again, got into the truck and drove away, satisfied with his successful Gandalf act (and the fact that he did not got himself killed) and hoping that his fellow team members will take out anyone who tries to stop him.
Raiders looked at each other. Smartest one scratched back of his head, rubbed his hurting chin and said slowly: "Dude is right. You can stay and wait to be skinned alive, but I am getting outta here." After saying that he run away. Remaining Raiders thought about their future and followed him soon.

"Thanks for the Ranger, but I prefer my own one", Taffer answered to Volodja's offer, "Not the best of Legendaries on the New Frontier, but I'm used to how it handles". He also agreed that taffing with Dark Matter security system would probably be fun… for both sides.
When they got to the place, Taffer took the observing position with the Ranger in his hands. He took a note that another guard post at the nearest intersection is rather far away and they are unlikely to notice anything. So he concentrated on the area around the truck Volodja was trying to take in case someone peeked out of their hideouts. Volodja seemed to know his trade, as he got his loot without having to kill anybody. Disarmed raiders fled away without trying to call for help, and everything else looked like it was a perfect heist, but the gut feeling told Taffer something is not right. He moved his eyes to follow the leaving truck just in time to see its back door opened and a raider appeared in the doorway. He was holding a pyro grenade and was about to drop in back into the truck and dart away. Taffer quickly aimed his Ranger and shot the raider in the head, making his body fall on the road and burn on his own grenade. Just a moment after he heard several doors bashed open and saw raiders coming out to investigate the source of the double-shot.
"Damn, I've kicked the bee hive", he voiced to his team mates through his EGO, "Get the hell out of here, I'll put them on the wrong scent!"
He turned his Cloak on, rant to his truck and rolled it on the road, making it to be clearly seen from raiders' camp. He turned around with the boost on right in time to avoid the rocket explosion from one of the Blasters. He continued moving along the road away from the camp and took a sharp turn to the North, taking the dirt road to the Seascape farms, making note that raiders' rollers followed him. His truck's shield flashed from some random bullets but Taffer knew that raiders never were good shooters out of their cars. He also knew his T4 had an advantage on a bad road, eating small bumps and blocks for breakfast while his pursuers had to struggle steering around or bumping into them. He passed the Farms and tossed a Bio grenade out of the window right before the crude bridge which ran over the channel between two ponds. The truck flew over it and Taffer looked in the rear view mirror with a smile, seeing raiders' vehicles slip on a sticky substance and skid into the pond. He turned again to Bug'n'Chug, querying the team for their status.

Hearing explosions and faint sound of gunshots behind his truck, followed by Taffer's announcement: "Damn, I've kicked the bee hive. Get the hell out of here, I'll put them on the wrong scent!" made Volodja to think: "Once again everything went...usual way. Our team members can't probably visit even an outhouse without getting attacked by swarm of Volge. Everything is perfectly normal and I am still behind a wheel, driving...somewhere. What happened to the Giant? Chief is playing tag with Raiders, but where is the big guy? Should not worry about them too much. Both of them are more capable than me, so if anyone I should be worrying about, is my car stealing personality, but still..." Next thing all those sounds made him to do was increasing truck's speed.
In safe distance from Raider camp he slowed the truck down a bit and hearing Taffer's question about team's well being, he answered: "Still driving aimlessly. Since our plans changed, I need a new directions so I can move on with my life...and the truck. Like...ah the Bug'n'Chug. Will be there soon. Any sign of the Giant yet? I miss the big guy, although I will admit it only after hours of torture, if someone asks me. And how the things got screwed up this time? Just curious about it."
He checked the road map, found the best way (not the shortest one) and drove back to their rendezvous place, deciding to avoid every contact with hostile parties and not to squish any of Tim's relatives. Except this one...and the next one...and there was whole bunch of hellbugs now, so he hit the gas pedal and left the scenery as fast as he could.
When Chloe transferred girls message to him, he was busy driving and avoiding getting shot by couple of 99rs, but still found time to answer. "Glad to hear that the girls are fine, Chloe-baby. Love and miss them too...even Erika. And if you connect with them again, then send my regards to Rosa. You can tell the girls that we are fine. Just a little harmless joyride for three of us - Giant, Chief and me." Then he cut off the connection, because he heard couple of bullets hitting side of his truck. Chloe didn't need to hear that, and rest of girls didn't need that either. After all - it supposed to be a vacation for everybody.

As Volodja and Taffer drove the trucks away, I waited from my sniping perch for just the right moment. When one of the raider vehicles skidded in an oil slick behind taffer and a second hit the first I got my moment. I popped a damage spike, aimed my Calling Bird, and cloaked for even more damage and over my comm, Uljanov and Taffer could hear me saying "And BOOM go the Raiders!" Then I popped a couple well placed shots in the leaking petrohol, which caused quite the nice explosion as both trucks exploded.
Then as A Raider vehicle tries heading the other direction, I blow it up as well. Then I run to where I have my Challenger camoflauged and quickly remove my camo tarp and throw it in the trunk. Then jump in with my Calling Bird resting in the passenger seat and take off, leaving the burning remnants and panicked Raiders to deal with it.
I say to the other two over comm, "Well they aren't following anybody any time soon. Since they aren't able to follow and I am so close, I am going to Last Chance to fill my tank, and pick up some of my supplies."
After arriving, I double check to make sure nobody is around, I open the garage and park my Challenger inside and close and relock it. Next I double check again, then I put my ungloved thumb on a hidden thumb scanner under the chared corpse guarding the station. One of the nearby storage tanks slides away from the others, revealing a closed hatch. I walk over and use my thumb again, then give it the voice authentication, this pad asks for as well. The hatch opens, and I enter. within seconds it closes behind me and I hear the storage tank slide back into place.
I activate the lights and am back in my base of Operations for the last several years. I grab some gear and crate it, then I contact Chloe and tell her to expect a big informational file transfer to be streamed to the Base. I then start the untracable and encrypted file transfer. I send the San Fransisco base copies of most of my files. I set, everything to go back into "secure standby" as soon as the transfer ends. Then I scan the area using my computer's sensors. There is an Arkhunter refilling. So after he leaves and the place is clear, I grab my crate and go back up to the surface. Everything closing again behind me. I re-open the garage doors with my codes and put the crate in my trunk. Then I pull out and close the door. My security protocols once again making it look like nothing has changed to the doors or tanks in a long time. Then I take off to Bug N Chug.
"Alright guys. On my way to the Bug! Be there soon!"

Volodja drove his truck more carefully now. He successfully escaped the danger zone, Giant and Chief were fine and girls are having fun. Car crash was the last thing he wanted to happen.
"We need to collect some samples..."said Sophie suddenly. "No we don't, Sophie dear. We don't have to do anything if we don't want to. All I want is redecorating my quarters and I hope that you are not mind helping me." "Old habits, Volodja...You know...I really enjoyed your magic carpet ride and I loved time in that boat as long I was there. You both looked so happy. I want to help you and her, but I would like..." Sophie suddenly sounded very shy. "Yes Sophie dear?" "Can I have some free roaming in holo training room too? I would really like to feel everything around me, as we did during your date. It was so exciting." "Of course Sophie. When we are back in base I will talk to Giant to come along, so you can hang out with Dinara. Even if it means that I have to spend time with that ruthless..." "Shush Volodja! You like the guy, which is strange because you too are quite opposite. But I will remember your promise and I won't let you to forget it either. Just kidding. You will do it anyway, softy. You can't resist my charm." "Sophie dear. You make me very proud of yourself. Our time together has done good for both of us."
Chatting with Sophie helped him cover mileage between him and Bug'n' Chug much faster and made travelling more enjoyable. It's always good if you have someone by your side you can talk with. Sophie deserved some quality time in training room and she deserved to have some good company besides Volodja.
With these thoughts Volodja turned his truck to the road, leading to Bug'n' Chug and hit the breaks when he arrived to his destination. He jumped out and made quick damage check. Truck was in surprisingly good condition after everything he went through with it. These were good news. And seeing Chief was even better. Only Giant was missing yet. As soon he appears, they can continue with second phase of their mission - infiltrating into Dark Matter main house.

As I drive, Dinara, my EGO psyche, appears on the seat next to me in hologram form. "Can I pulease sit here and enjoy the ride for once, Atty? Pulease?" I say, "I suppose so pest." So while I drive to my destination, she sits next to me and talks to me the whole time, really enjoying the little sister role she gave herself!
When I pull into Bug N chug, I see Taffer and Volodja there talking. Dinara smiles at me and nods, then disappears back into my head. I hop out the window of my Challenger and walk over to join them, people quickly moving and giving me a very wide birth as they recognize me from the various wanted posters, news articles and stories that have circulated through Paradise over the years about, "The Harbinger of Death". So naturally when I walk towards Taffer and Volodja, the onlookers scatter expecting a fight and perhaps that somebody will soon die.
So, I walk past them and start shopping at the vendor that the two are standing near, and send them an encrypted EGO message. "Crowded this afternoon. Perhaps we should meet in a more secluded area to discuss our plans, if you want my opinion. However Uljanov already has a good idea of how I think our shopping trip should be handled. So since my presence here will draw too much attention if I start talking to you, especially since everyone who pays attention knows I rarely stop at Bug N Chug unless I have bussiness here, I will just meet you near our Downtown destination. Just send the co-ords to my EGO once the two of you have it all worked out. I will meet you then and do my part, whatever you decide that may be."
I then buy some basic supplies, then go and jump back in my Challenger and speed off, heading back to San Fransisco and my next stop.
