Favorite EGO Power:
Decoy. Likes to send it ahead for scouting, or leave it standing in place to make a quick return.
Physical Description:
EGO Description:
Standard VBI EGO unit. Still not at its full power and growing slowly due to its late activation.
Mental Description: Cautiously optimistic. Usually protective of people she considers her friends or family. Likes learning new things and setting challenges for herself, but not at the cost of endangering her friends. When in fight, tries to dispatch enemies from distance, luring them into traps, sometimes with her Decoy.
Background: Born in Tranquility in 2021. At 2024, when the riots began, she was evacuated by EMC with the most important residents, materials and equipment. The convoy was attacked and captured by a Votan squad. All Votan people who were detained in that convoy, were to be transported away from the front-line back to the Votan territory, except little Lu. The Irathient commander of the squad saw her unusual cyan eyes and thought it could bring bad luck and even doom on them. He ordered her to be left for dead in the destroyed truck. Next night a female Indogene doctor was briefly seen deserting the front-line with the baby in her hands. From what she remembers of her young ages, she was living in orphanage in Guadalajara, her Indogene stepmother Sayo visiting her frequently. Sayo never took Lu home, for reasons she never told her, and Lu never asked why because at that time she didn't think it was something abnormal. Other children in the orphanage didn't have any helping relatives after all. Sayo worked on the girl's education, Lu's favorite subjects were physics, chemistry and electronics.
When the terraforming started, the orphanage survived, and Lu almost had a fatal accident, experimenting with something she found at the nearest crater which turned out to be a Vysudium can, a highly explosive and unstable gas. Sayo didn't fault her for such a reckless action, but found it was a good reason to teach her more on explosives, which Lu loved to know more about. When Lu was 15, her stepmother's visits became rare, and once she left to never return again, without telling Lu anything. After a couple of months of waiting, Lu bolted to find Sayo or at least learn something about her whereabouts. The only trace led her North, to the US territory, where she joined Spirit Riders. She didn't like the life in the nomadic gang and she wasn't treated well there because of the unusual color of her eyes, but at least she could find some protection in there, gained an ability to travel across the land in her search for Sayo put her knowledge about explosives to a good use and learn something about weaponry, especially detonators and rocket launchers. She left the group and joined VBI EGO program seeing it as an opportunity to visit some dangerous places she could never reach without that powerful implant.
The experiment was a failure as the EGO had not activated in her body. Several days later she found that her name was marked in the database as deceased. Not knowing what that could mean, she decided to bolt again which she successfully fulfilled, blowing the garage door and hijacking a roller. Lu headed east to Key Diego knowing that the very year Sayo disappeared, the so-called Paradise was founded around the gulanite deposits in Bay Area. This looked like an interesting coincidence to her. Unfortunately, when she arrived to Helena city, it dot closed due Votacide 4x (also known as "Tranquility virus") outbreak and she was diagnosed. Although she didn't show any symptoms, she was exiled north to the Canada Desert, known for its deadly crystalline landscape and frequent razor storms happening in there. At that moment her EGO had finally activated and said that her blood contains natural cure for the virus. Lu managed to save several exiled people using her blood with EGO's nanites as a vaccine. She tried to return to the city, claiming she has a cure, but people didn't believe her and tried to shoot her down. Lu used her newly discovered EGO powers to steal a Nomad truck which she and other people she saved used to move further north until they discovered an abandoned bunker in the ruins of Calgary which they adapted as their home and shelter from razor storms. Lu decided to stay there until the virus outbreak winds down. But then she learned about the Indogene settlement further to the North and thought she could stay there even longer hoping she could find some more information on whereabouts of Sayo, her stepmother.
