Well, after finally getting through with some of the things plaguing me, I finally got around to using The Sims 3 to make a revised version of Iri's appearance (at least until TrionWorlds decides to make Indogenes a playable race). It's difficult trying to make her look unique while trying to avoid making her look too similar to Meh Yewll or Eren Niden. Keep in mind, if she looks too much like Yewll or Niden, I'll have to go back into The Sims 3 and try again to make the character. BTW, the Sims 3 character is on the left, while the Defiance version of the character (in her Arkhunter outfit) is on the right. I came up with this image because I intend to use it here for her profile (and revise it over at DeviantArt as well. Let me know what you think. Special thanks to niobe cremisi on Tumblr for making the genetics for an Indogene Sim (in both Sims 3 and Sims 4 as well).

She does not look like Yewll or Eren for me, but at the same time she falls too deep into uncanny valley. Another thing, she looks older that Yewll, although AFAIR you made her younger than her. I think it's the wrinkles around her mouth and dark circles around her eyes that make her look too human and too old.

I think it's the wrinkles around her mouth and dark circles around her eyes that make her look too human and too old. I think the black circles around the eyes are a park of the skin since Indogenes have them (I can't remember if I added eye shadow around the eyes in addition to that or not). But for the wrinkle around the mouth, I can understand that. That's partly my fault because of what I did in Create-a-Sim mode. That's definitely an easy fix. Thank you for the input.

Well, it turns out the wrinkles around the mouth is something that comes with the the Adult setting for Sims in the game. I went in and reduced the wrinkle as best as I could, but this is the end result with the wrinkle preset set to zero. However, there is one way to remove the wrinkle completely. By setting the sim to Young Adult instead of Adult, it removes the wrinkles by the way it appears. It removes the wrinkles. I hope it doesn't make Iri look too young.

Iri certainly does NOT look like any of the Indogenes we've seen in game and show, but still looks very Indogene! I like the "young adult" Iri best, but always pictured her face more angular at the jaw line, with less of a rounded jowls area, but that was in my minds eye! I think you did a super job with it, Chase, especially with the skin texture!

Thanks, Belle. But I can't take credit for the skin. That's niobe cremisi's work. I'm glad she took the request for the skin (and did the eyes and lip gloss for the character as an added bonus).

I also thought she would have a more angular face. However she is YOUR creation, so if you prefer the more rounded features then go for it. But in my opinion even if you prefer the rounder face, it could do with a little thinning down in the jowls( or is it cheeks?).
However no matter how you look at it, it is still a damn great job that you did. THat can be very time consuming and take a LOT of patience to focus on something as long as you must have with all your work on Iri.

In regards to the angular face, I think that partly has to do with the last image I attempted, which I used The Sims 2. I've noticed a lot of people pointing out that for The Sims 3, that Sims tend to have "pudding faces" in comparison to the more angular ones in The Sims 2. However, making angular faced Sims is easy. I'll try it out and do a post to see what y'all think a little while later.
I thank all of y'all for your input. I'm trying to make sure I get at least while I've described, and since two people saw her with an angular face, which tells me that maybe I included that detail in my writing somewhere and forgot it, I'll accommodate for that.

Just out of curiosity, how angular do y'all see the jawline? Like, use an actress for an example if y'all can.

Depends if you want just a baby face or baby-doll look with more defined bone structure. Id est Lily Cole's baby face (pic 1) or Lily Donaldon's baby doll face (pic 2)?

Okie dokie. It may take some time, but I'll get some revision examples up as soon as I can.
I will admit, I am also trying to work on Doc Yewll sim, since one of them looked like it could be close enough to Yewll to work on. For Yewll, it's a challenge unto itself, because I have to keep switching to a normal human skintone in order to try to model the face after Trenna Keating and then switch back to the Indogene skintone to see if I'm getting it close enough to look like Doc Yewll.

Sorry for taking so long with this update. I had issues with The Sims 3 that caused it to keep crashing. I was able to resolve it, so here is the update. What I did was that instead of trying to change the face to make it appear more angular, I downloaded a mod slider (sliders are used to adjust various aspects of the body) that allowed me to adjust the width of the chin. So, as you can see, I widened it up to see if that helps in making it more angular or if it seems way too much for the character. Also, here is the picture of my Doc Yewll Sim. It's still a work in progress and its a bit challenging to do (as I've had to switch the skin between the Indogene and normal skin, as I've been trying to use not just only Doc Yewll pictures, but Treanna Keating pictures to try to make the Sim look as close as I could get).

It's the end of my twelve hour day and we are starting finals week, so maybe I'm just tired, but I only see changes to the eyes and not really much as to the jawline! Really Chase, the only one that needs to be pleased with it that matters is you! How do you view the character in your mind's eye, and if this picture of Iri is it, then "Bravo!"

Well, nothing was done to the eyes. It's just that for the CAS (Create-A-Sim) screen, when you're editing a Sim, the Sim is animated instead of standing still (which includes blinking, smiling, waving, reacting to changing of clothes, etc). The eyes in the updated one looks different because I took the screen cap as it was blinking. Sorry about the confusion there. But like I said, the only change I made was widening the chin, so that its not as narrow as it was previously (I almost traced an outline on the image to make it noticeable, but thought it got in the way. I think she look best with the wider chin and hope that it looks angular enough.
