I would love to get some general information: I have been reading as much as I can of the old RP posts but there is so much pure information entwined into the writing and I can't make heads or tails of the actual current state of affairs. Since I have been gone from the game for long and havent even played the Season 3 episodes and I just finished rewatching the series; I would love to get some help getting basic information. I know I have been acting kinda wishy washy in shoutbox but its because I do not want to jump in unprepared and take liberties in such a well established writing group as this.
So, basically.. um.. Take your time and perhaps write down some short pointers for us newcomers, IF there are more than me that is. ^_^
Basically questions I need answered:
The current state of the Bay Area Who and what replaced the E-Rep Who are the Paradise Protectors and how did they get Stratocarriers How influential and well known is Defiance and has it grown from town to city How active and what is the current state of the VC How much time after the Omac have passed Do any Omac remain How much of the active rps take place in NA and SA

The current state of the Bay Area: Same as it ever was (or as it is in the game after you've pretty much done everything... Until the game makers decide to add more missions and story).
Who and what replaced the E-Rep: I think the E-Rep is still around, but they are a bit disenfranchised due to what happened to New York. I myself have in the description for Freedom, Alabama that most of the E-Rep left the town after the New York attack in an attempt to get back and find their loved ones, leaving a smaller group composed of those who were still dedicated or those who grew up in the town, being a smaller group than what they were prior.
Who are the Paradise Protectors and how did they get Stratocarriers: I'm actually confused by this question. Is our group called the Paradise Protectors? I never caught onto it if that's the case. As for how they got stratocarriers, I figured they probably fixed up one of the ones that went down during the war.
How influential and well known is Defiance and has it grown from a town to a city: Well, it's well known as being the only place where Humans and Votans live side by side, and next door to one another. And a lot of people want peace to work, while still fearing the possibility of another war breaking out. And I think that it's also well known for being the largest source of gulanite, which due to the Omec opening a way back to the mines one again, the town's probably grown back some of its revenue and prospectors. Has it grown from a town to a city? I think town and city are the same thing. Now, has it grown from a small city/town to a big city/town? I don't believe so. I'm basing this on my own home town, which hasn't expanded past the square mile of land it resides on. But I suspect years further down the road, it probably would.
How active and what is the current state of the VC: From what we've seen in Season 3, they're still active, though they still got a bit of a shaky truce with whatever's left of the E-Rep.
How much time after the Omec have passed: I figured about about a month and a couple of weeks after the end of the show (one of the stories had the group in Defiance while the Omec were there, and with the one month jump I had between "Madness!" and "What Remains", it's basically a month and a couple of weeks (possibly two months) since they've left.
Do any Omec remain: That's a very interesting question. Over on the main forums for the show, some users noticed that there were at least three Omec that came down unaccounted for. However, it's unsure if it is due to viewers perception or if, in fact, three of them are still on Earth. But in the last couple of RP stories, the Omec technology left over has been the cause of some problems.
How much of the active RPs take place in NA and SA: Well, since the Bay is located in North America, most of the stories have taken place there. There have been a couple of stories where the South America has been involved, as well as Russia (I think) being involved as well.
Of course, these answers are my interpretation of the information, and I could very well be wrong.

Ty so much for the answers. Now for clarification of unclear questions
Ive seen mentioned of Paradise Protector along side stratocarriers; But due to the amount of surrounding information in posts I was unsure if it was name of a certain vessel, a designation for a group or the full title of an abbreviation such as PPS = Paradise Protector Ship.
Town/City in my mind is basically A Town has a lower numbers of residents, a more limited infrastructure and governing also lesser amount of civil services just as Medical, sanitation, Law enforcement. Aka a Town as a Lawkeeper and perhaps deputies and a general Doctor. A city has a more organized Law enforcement and a multi-personnel medical facility and large area coverage.
And from what I gathered from the show about the E-rep: With New York gone, They have no effective leadership and lost large amounts of military supplies/equipment and personnel since the not only New York is gone but the surrounding area aswell which would mean main base.
However, this is just my interpretation.

Be advised: my answers are what I know.
The Paradise Protectors are a multiracial vigilante group base out of Fortress Ka'shaa in San Francisco. Many characters here are part of said group. The Vigilance is its stratocarrier and one of its main assets.
Defiance's lawkeeping force is not larger than two or three. As far as I know Doctor Meh Yewll works solo with no staff.

But Meh Yewll went with Joshua as she merged with the Arkbrain on the Omec ship. Is it one of the clones left in the mine by Kenzie?

I don't know; don't have a good memory of the final episodes, sorry I was wrong about Doc Yewll.

Last Episode: Joshua, Irisa, Doc Yewll, Datak goes up in the Omec harvester. Irisa and Datak help Yewll connect herself to the Arkbrain which allows her to interface with the ship but also means if she tries to disconnect she will bleed to death. Nolan kills the All mother after she interupts their plan to blow up the vessel, Irisa tells Nolan she is staying behind to allow the Omec to live since there are children on the vessel. Nolan stuns her, tells her he loves her and sends her back to earth and tells Yewll to activate the engines and allows the heat/power build up to slingshot them into deep deep space. 6 weeks after, Irisa is the new Lawkeeper and Nolan is seen traveling the universe and the Arch is renamed after him and rebuilt using Holographic/light.

Yes, there is a Doc Yewll clone that was in the tank in the mine in the final episode. You can actually see it in the tank when the characters go up to the Omec ship (the last person to go up is Kindzi, and you can still see the tank with the clone in it). So, to address the question, the original Doc Yewll's with Nolan and a clone of Doc Yewll is still on Earth, but hasn't been released yet (I'm sort of planning on resolving that issue in one of my posts).

OKAY, I'm going to add my two cents as I see it, as I wrote (or assumed) it in the past, and because I've got some time to do it! LOL! There are some pretty good references Taffer has listed at this site that still hold true I think!
E-Rep - Still exists, just downsized after New York City got terraformed. I've implied it relocated its capital, to Boston I think, and still see them as a world player located on the east coast of the United States, but greatly diminished in power!
Omec - I thought the TV series left some leeway that there may still be some loose in the Defiance area, or even somewhere else on Earth, and I always planned on introducing one/some in a story, but haven't found the right opportunity yet!
Paradise Protectors, Protectors of Paradise, The Protectors, etc. - As Atticus said, our small group of "vigilantes" or "do-gooders" had turned into an organization, who seeks to not only safeguard and make better Paradise but the world. Actually, going back to some of our very first stories, we tended to globe trot a lot, going to the moon and even Canada! LOL! Fortress Ksahaa, our home base in the SF wasteland, was an old Dark Matter base and before that a Votan Collective base during the Pale Wars. If I remember right (and correct me old timers if I don't) the "strato carrier" we named "The Vigilant" is actually an old space ship (see Simaro's diagram on this website) dating to the Pale Wars period. I think we call it a strato-carrier for (I) convenience) and (2) pictures on the internet!
VBI - Still exists, but now controlled by a Board of Directors headed by Trevor Tyler instead of the Von Bach family!
Votan Collective - Belize was also destroyed by terraforming if I remember right, so I've been just calling their capital Capital City. The VC Chancellor was killed in Season 3 of the TV series, so I held an election and had Cael, Erika Widowmaker's son, a populist and anti-war candidate, elected as the new Chancellor, with Governor Skarr's pro-war conservative party declining in importance. (Governor Skar was a major villain from some of our stories in the beginning of our RPG). I think I even tied in that event to the attempted VC recall of the Beast in Defiance, or that might have just occurred in my head! LOL! This will all become important in our MIA story if I faciliatate it right!
I don't see that anything I wrote here contradicts anything anybody else wrote, or what was in the past stories, but keep in mind this is just how I see it so far! Everything can change, and with the death of the TV series and the lack of change in the game, I figure we can change things to suit ourselves! Just remember our RPG forum rules as to PCs and NPCs please! I don't want to read that Cael is assassinated over night, or that Belle goes and murders wholesale a group of innocents - at least until we get to discuss it!

Hey Belle, when it comes to the Von Bach family, or at least with the operations of the company, the younger Von Bach brother seems to be working out of Ara Shondu's place (this information comes from the Defiance Auctions, which one of them happen to include the younger Von Bach's business cards, listing Ara Sondu's place in Marin).

Mmmm! That is interesting, but I assume that is the black sheep in the family introduced as a former lover of Berlin's in the TV series - showed that they had plans for him other than Sharknado 4! LOL! He could still be working for the company, but not have a controlling interest, but it does give me more than one idea for future posts!

Correct Belle. Our base is an old "Secret" Dark Matter base somewhere in San Francisco. We call the Vigilant a Stratocarrier out of convenience. However it is actually a V.C./Dark Matter ship that was in the base when we took it over and we got it working again. So it is basically a V.C./Dark Matter version of a stratocarrier. The Riot (our small ship) was also one of the ships in the base that we got working. However we have taken some liberties with both ships' designs since we started this forum last year. So we could tailor them better to our needs.
So the Paradise Protectors are the name of our self-created and privately funded organization and as such we added the PPS (Paradise Protectors' ship) designation to the Vigilant.
