Welcome to City of Lima - a post apocalyptic melting pot for all kind of species!
Lima, the pearl of Peru, is a Free City with equal opportunities for both Humans and Votans to establish a steady career or have an adventure in of of it's 43 districts. If you are not mind working as a smuggler, drug dealer, slaver, prostitute, pimp, criminal mastermind, gun for hire or something similarly colourful, then you reached your El Dorado because Lima provides well paying people with professional services of to satisfy exotic needs for their respected customers. Less ambitious people can find themselves a place among merchants, waiters, shop workers and so on, because every place needs that kind of folk to keep itself going. But if you want to make from rags to riches then we strongly suggest to concentrate on more profitable areas. Race, gender and age doesn't matter here. All you need is ambition...and lot of luck.
Places of interest. Any kind of needs will be satisfied!
Although the world around Lima has changed a lot after Pale Wars and Terraforming, Lima maintained it's historical areas and their main functions, although the nature of of some feature might have been changed along the way to fit post apocalyptic needs. Remember - changes are always been a part in any kind of evolution. And surviving is meant for fittest and flexible.
The airport is still located in El Callao, which also serves as the the main port of Lima. Here you can buy some exotic goods - forbidden weapons, variety of drugs from classic Adreno to more rare mixtures, any kind of skilful slaves to satisfy your different needs and lot of other trade articles.
San Isidro is the best residential area as it has been for a long time- a dream place for every resident of Lima who are trying to work themselves to top from the gutter. Excellent hotels and restaurants and shops and a really safe area to walk because residents - businessmen, entrepreneurs, heads of different kind of organizations, off shore bankers who operate in area like to have privacy and maintain their carefree lifestyle away from their offices, so place is provided with security systems and guardians everywhere. If someone tries to break the peace there, then breaking their legs and/or arms is the lightest measure of reminding them, that safety of local crème de la crème is sacred.
Miraflores is a well known neighbourhood with many restaurants, hotels and shops for the tourists and local upper class who are on their way to the top and reached into certain height. Larcomar is the best known area for shopping and bars and restaurants and cinemas, including triple X rated ones to serve public needs. If you feel sophisticated and are interested about art and bohemian life style and light drugs then we suggest to visit Barranco as well. Other excellent and relatively safe residential areas are La Molina, La Planicie, San Borja, Surco and Monterrico. Of course they are open only to people who happen to have quite a lot scrip in their wallets, but that's the life.
Downtown Lima and Rimac are areas to visit at day time if you are not mind to admire the beauty of Rimac River and seeing few floating bodies in it's waters. Swimming there is not forbidden, but you must take whole responsibility for consequences, because travel insurance doesn't cover suicide attempts. We recommend to keep your eyes on your wallets as well, because some people of Lima have really slick and yet sticky fingers. Middle class districts are San Miguel, Magdalena, Pueblo Libre and Jesus Maria, although middle class these days could mean that you finally got more than a few lines to speak in porn film, have a mediocre weapon shop, drug den or something like that, but you can afford a living standard which allows to live away from your business.
And now we reach to huge overpopulated neighbourhoods of San Juan de Lurigancho, Villa El Salvador, Huaycan and La Victoria which are recommended for people who are after something completely different than soft entertainment and goods. If you can't afford to visit even a middle class bordello or pub or tavern or drug shop, then these are places for you. If you want some cheap and more unconventional sex, drugs and some music style, then this is the place for you. Don't be ashamed to ask - these people are willing to provide you with everything as long as you pay them. Even aristocracy isn't mind to visit places like that, because some of them actually began their career there and rest of them are considering visiting those ghettos to be exotic sport for high society and upper class just as Victorian youth did.
Equal rights for everyone.
In Lima it means that everyone have a right to work and live in Lima on a way they chose to, as long as they can afford it, because every step you take, every move you make might cost you some scrip. And as you keep climbing the social ladder, your expenses will grow, but that's the part of life anyway. Just admit it that everything has a prize tag, including services you are offering and it's natural to pay for a place under the Sun. But we assure that we don't care about the origins of your scrip as long you have plenty to spend.
If you are a tourist in trouble then we suggest to contact your consulate if it happens to be located in Lima. Votanis Collective is presented here. So is Earth Republic. If you happen to be a member of Tarr Family or you are working for Von Bach Industries, then consider yourself lucky - they have small branches there, so they can look after their own people. But if you are all alone then you should ask yourself - "Am I in right place anyway?" or "Who needs somebody who is on their own?" And other intelligent questions are welcomed as well, preferably before you enter into our city, you looser, because City of Lima is concentrated to success, not failure. Keep in mind that:
You are welcome in Lima, as long as you can be useful!
Hopefully you enjoy your stay as long as you are willing to pay! Thank you and welcome once more! Good luck and remember - your presence means more scrip for us!
