Post by Erika Widowmaker on Sept 21, 2015 2:22:31 GMT
Erika Widowmaker listened and watched as Belle and Attica put forth two opposing views, both logical and understandable, but ended up frowning at having to choose between the two. After careful consideration she ended up siding with her brother, for the immediate problem was at the home front where Lady was willing to accept their help, and all the evidence pointed to the likely fact that Chase did not want it. Furthermore, the one who was most needed on the home front was Belle Starr, so Erika took it as her duty to try to convince her to stay in the Bay Area for now and work to Lady's benefit. "Belle, I really understand your concerns about Chase, I really do, " Began Erika, her jade eyes looking intently into Belle blue diamond ones, "But you know and I know that you have a legal obligation to remain here. You are essentially Lady's guardian while she is under electronic incarceration, and if you leave the area, Law Keeper Cooper is likely to put her in jail again. We saw how well that worked already, as it almost got Lady killed. Even if we forget legalities, you of all of us have the best relationship with Ara Shondu and Law Keeper Cooper, as well as with the people of Paradise. We need you to be our friendly face to the citizenry and their authorities right now - for Lady's sake." "But what about Chase?" Asked Belle in a plaintive tone. Erika absentmindedly stroked the scar on her left cheek with a clay red colored forefinger before answering, "Belle, from what I have just heard you say about your VBI preparations, you have done by hailer everything we could do person, and if they run into a situation they cannot handle, I have know doubt this Mr. Trump will contact you, and then we can reopen the issue for debate. As of now, we need you here helping the rest of us handle the Inquisition and it's leaders, so that when we give the evidence clearing Lady we have credibility with the judicial authority." Belle slumped in her seat, putting her thin pale fingers through her blond tousled hair, the resigned expression on her pretty freckled face showing that she logically knew Erika was right, but emotionally didn't like it one bit, but saying in a defeated tone, "Okay Erika, but if even a single smoke signal shows that they need me in Red Deer, than I'm gone faster than a sidewinder in a burning hot desert!" Erika smiled slightly, thinking that maybe she still could do some good here at Fortress Kshaa, and that maybe, just maybe, she needed to reconsider her decision to leave once Lady was cleared of all charges.

Sandy Bell shook her blond head with a frown, then stood up and said as she gestured generally in Belle's direction without actually looking at her, "Commander Batman and Captain Taffer, much as I hate to agree with anything this civilian may say, I think she has a damn good point! Chase is a squad member and one of us! We can't leave him to who knows what out there in God-forsaken Canada. What I saw of the terrain on the fly over and what dangers I did see on the ground leads me too believe that if I was there searching and he wasn't my friend, I'd be more concerned with keeping my hide in one piece than in finding Chase. I don't know how much VBI is paying the poor jerks doing the search, but it won't be a substitute for the caring of an actual fellow soldier who fought in the trenches with him. I don't see Kaj here, but he should be, as he is a member of the team as much as I am, but I bet he would agree with me. Grunts in the trenches have to look out for each other, because nobody else really will when push comes to shove!"
Sandy hesitated, wondering if she should have said anything, but timidity was never her problem, so she went on, "I'm just a soldier, and I'll do whatever you order me too as a soldier, but... Chase is a soldier too, one who was hurt under our watch before, and I just don't feel it's right to leave a wounded warrior out there to fend for himself!"
Sandy sat down and folded her arms, a grim look on her face; not noticing the painful wince on Belle's pretty face as a red blush went from her swan like neck up into her freckled cheeks. Sandy neither realized nor intended to hurt Belle more than if she had stuck a knife into Belle's heart and twisted it, but Sandy had none the less.

"Easy, people," said Volodja after being thinking. "I can go after Chase myself. Let me explain why I am fit for that. I don't have any serious duties here, since there is no Triumvirate is any more. That gives me a lot of spare time to deal with the Chase matter. Wolfram von Eschen is more than capable to take care of hurt souls and I think that he deserves his place in this meeting as well. Since Mistress doesn't take me seriously, she doesn't pay any attention to me and my actions when I leave for a scouting trip. Same applies to VBI and local authorities - in their eyes I am nobody, so they don't even see me leave. And even if they do, they just shrug their shoulders. Let's face the facts - I don't matter to anybody who is somebody. I am used to do "search and rescue type of missions" in my past. They were part of my curriculum and several of them occurred in similar conditions as Canada. And I am used to work alone. If we look the situation objectively then it doesn't affect a thing, if I leave, and that should give the rest of you enough time to clear Lady's name, keep Belle here and deal with unforeseeable matters which might be too complicated for me, because I am in no position to make someone important to accept what I have to say." Since Sandy didn't needed his touch any more, Volodja leaned his hands to his thighs and looked at others. He was always self sufficient. Since he was a wandering knight type, he had to be. The rest of the team were mostly the old blood, used with each other. They got along already before he climbed out from his crate. If he leaves then nothing will change, because Volodja wasn't exactly an essential part of the team. At least he can be useful in that way without messing things up again. Commoners like Volodja Uljanov were always more suitable for smaller tasks than saving the world.

Sandy Bell narrowed her baby blue eyes and frowned so hard it would have made a flower wither, as she stood back up and intertwined both her tan arms around one of Volodja's as he stood with his hands on his hips, objecting with strong conviction, "That just isn't jekking going to happen buster! If you think you are going anywhere without me after it was this hard to get us back together again, than let me sell you the Brooklyn Bridge - even after the terra-forming!"
Sandy leaned into him and kissed him passionately, afterwards saying with a grin, "Let me reiterate: No fucking way are you going solo! I'm your wing-gal, whether you like it or not, although I really plan on making you like it!"

Listening to the arguments and counterarguments, I thought for a second on how to answer everybody, then I said, "Sandy, the truth is currently you are an official member of this team and Kaj still is not. He only went to Canada as Belle used her charms to convince him, Volo and Wolfram that taking a suicidal bio-man as her personal bodyguard was a good idea. Fortunately it worked out in their favor.
Although He still is not a full member of the team for a couple of reasons. One: Wolfram hasn't cleared Kaj to get back to work full time yet. Two and more importantly: Kaj was offered a spot on the team by Belle, when everyone came back from Canada. However he has not yet accepted it, whereas you did when we offered you a spot. He was also told of the meeting. Why he is not here, is his business."
"However I do know that a live video-feed of this meeting is being broadcast to his data-pad and All directors' and command officers' data-pads and computers. That includes Wolfram's. So maybe they are viewing the meeting and just have not chosen to open their end of the channel and chime in yet, or they have not realized they got a notification on their data-pad or computer yet. I do not know and none of us will know unless they choose to open their end of the video feed and add their two cents.
Now as for you, Volodja. You say nobody that is somebody will care if you go alone on a mission or even if you just go away. It seems Sandy cares and it is clear that she is a somebody and especially to you. If you are implying that all well-known people are somebodies, then that includes me, even if I hate it."
I took off my armored gauntlet, showing my wedding ring to him, as I played with it slightly.
Then I said, "Look at my Wedding ring real good. I am certain that you recognize it as the one you, MY Best Man, presented me with! I have plenty of money to get Lady and myself different and more expensive wedding rings, however I have not. It's not a matter of not having a chance to. It's a matter of not wanting to. You matter a lot to Lady so she loves the rings you made for us......as do I. We have discussed it and agreed that these are the rings for us because YOU made them and ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO both of US. So you may not think that you matter to anybody, however you definitely do. If you don't believe me, then think about what Sandy just told you and look into her eyes, and then the rest of our eyes. You will see that you matter more than you realize to her, as well as to the rest of us. Besides lots of people, even outside of our team and family, say that you are an important Somebody. Dak, Lestrange only came to North America because you are here. Why would he do that if you didn't matter?"
As I let him think about that, I rotated my ring again, put my gauntlet back on, then continued, "I do not like the idea of anybody going that far away from the team while the Mistress is still on the loose as she could go after any of you. Besides if somebody who knows the area, like Lu Ka'Shaa couldn't find him, then you don't have much chance either. I still say everyone should stay here to help on the homefront before anybody goes off after Chase. Yet, if the majority agrees that a small recon team should be sent to Canada to help this Donald Trump guy and his search and rescue teams, until the rest of us can join in on the search, then I will not stand in the way. However, nobody goes alone on a mission, if at all possible. So if a team is sent right away, which I am still very much against, then I insist as Commander that it be a three man team. Obviously Volodja and Sandy volunteer. So now all they need is the third person, which I insist be a capable pilot that can handle conditions as treacherous as Razor rain during a sandstorm or snowstorm. After all you have to realize that is a definite possibility in that terrain. However, I must once again add that I am currently against it. So what's everyone else's thought on everything discussed so far, including this?"

"I am not going to buy it, Atticus. I do know that Sandy cares about me. And so do you. Maybe someone else does as well. When I said "somebody", then I meant authorities first and foremost. Rest of you have better position to negotiate with them than I ever going to have. They listen you, not me. I had to find evidence to convince Cooper to drop murder charges against Lady. I had to actually CONVINCE the crowd to listen reason by betting on their emotions and common sense. And Ara Shondu, instead of listening my point when I tried to convince her to give Lady into OUR custody right away, pointed me politely out of her castle. My words didn't had much weight in public eyes.
"But, say you, surely there is nothing easier than for me to imagine trees, for instance, in a park and nobody by to perceive them. The objects of sense exist only when they are perceived; the trees therefore are in the garden no longer than while there is somebody by to perceive them," said an Anglo-Irish philosopher George Berkeley, whose primary achievement was the advancement of a theory he called "immaterialism" which later was referred as "subjective idealism" by his successors. This theory denies the existence of any kind of material substance and instead contends that familiar objects like tables and chairs are only ideas in the minds of perceivers, and as a result cannot exist without being perceived.
And that's how everything that happened back there, made me to realize that I made the sound, but nobody listened me right away. There are no guarantees that authorities listen me, when I try to convince them about innocence of Lady without any water proof evidence, so I give up my attempts on that area. And I still have a strong reason to believe that I don't mean anything to Mistress, so she doesn't bother to keep even one thousandth of her thousand eyes on me. "TEKEL: You've been weighed on the scales—and you don't measure up." That applies to me as well, so I better mind my own business, taking advantage of being nobody to some people. Otherwise I will be completely non-existent."

I responded to Volo calmly with, "Look, I have pointed out several times that I am not a stupid man. However the truth of the matter is that, I am not very smart either. Even if my, usually, perfect memory helps me convince people otherwise, it is somewhat of a deception. So face it. I am a killer, a warrior, a soldier, and a stubborn and belligerent asshole; trying, as HARD as I can, to learn to be a just Commander, caring Father, and loving husband. So all that philosophical and intelligent stuff that you just said is a bit lost on me.
However I do know that you have a much better chance of authorities listening to you than I do, and if Lady needed somebody to represent her that you would ALWAYS be her first choice. Face it I have a reputation for shooting the sheriffs, punching the deputies and snapping the neck of the mayors and then doing things my way, consequences be damned. So they never even consider a thing that I say. Besides law keepers never drop charges unless somebody can find the evidence, they want. Taffer sent them plenty and they ignored it. You however are good enough that you found a way to help Lady, more than we could at the time. And big crowds always take convincing. When Belle tried, she got shot. You however got them to think and back down without getting yourself shot.
Anyway I am still against a team going to Canada before we stop the Mistress and Newlo. I already know how you, Sandy, and Belle vote, as the three of you all volunteered to go. So we need the others' votes. As well as a great pilot to volunteer to go as your third, if the majority does decide that your 3 person recon team should be sent to Canada right away, for Belle is needed here and not a pilot anyway."

"Everyone knows Eliot Ness, I guess," said Volodja. "The federal agent who is publicly known for successful neutralization of Al Capone, infamous and exceptional head of Chicago mob. Exceptional, because he was originated from Napoli, not Sicilia, although Siccilian heritage was a must if one wanted to be head of the famiglia. I have always been more of Frank J. Wilson type - doing my job, reading the bookkeep records, tracing the unpaid taxes, so Capone was finally convicted, and staying in shadows while doing that. But sometimes it's not enough. Oscar Wilde once told: "The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about." Even bad reputation is better than having a reputation at all if it's about convincing somebody. Being a public figure has it's advantages. They have better chances to be listened, because they are well known and usually don't have to waste any steam on proving of being in position to say something that matters. It was you, who rescued Lady from the rack without any opposition, because people knew who you are. And Belle was the one who convinced Ara Shondu that Lady should be under our surveillance because she is a public figure, a role model to people of Paradise and old acquittance of Ara. You both accomplished something that I could not do. Ara did mention my abilities, in case Lady needs legal representation, but I didn't manage to bail Lady out. And Volodja Uljanov quoted lines from an old comedy: " Without a Clue" A parody of Sherlock Holmes franchise: "Holmes: What am I looking for? Watson: Footprints. Holmes: Ah. Holmes: Have I found any yet? Watson: Not yet. Holmes: Well let me know when I do."" He actually could provide anyone with a link to the movie if they were interested, and he knew what he was talking about. Even when Holmes was Watson's creation, Watson could not investigate anything on his own, because people opened up to him and opened doors for him only when he mentioned the name of Sherlock Holmes. Only that made people to listen. "That's why I volunteered for the search mission," Volodja continued. "Just to avoid to spend my energy on answering the question: "Who are you anyway?" Being unnoticeable helped me to snoop around unspotted. That's where I was useful. But making public statement when being unknown is a complicated task. I'll be just a burden, when I stay home, but much more use, when I am outside. Maybe Sandy and I will find some proof of Lady's innocence when looking for Chase and you can present it to authorities."

As Belle grabbed his hand and told him what she promised to Trevor, Vo kissed her fingers and then looked into her eyes and said, "Belle, I'm going wherever you're going to relocate. I have no problem moving anywhere as long as I'll be with you. You know, I've been away from the Bay Area for so long and I see the life here goes fine without me, even the repair shop at Bug'n'Chug is functioning as if I was never there. I hope we'll still be in contact with our friends here so we don't lose each other completely. That is, if you want me to go with you of course. But all that would be later now we must concentrate on what we can do here. If you're going to find Chase, then I'm going with you too."
He didn't say it out loud because he instinctively felt that it makes Belle suffer each time she remembers that episode, but he indeed thought he owes his life to Chase as well as Belle and if it he could at least partially pay his debt this way, he would go on this search mission without hesitation.

As the team argued for or against taking the search mission, Lu was sitting silent, still covering her face with her hands. All these people were valuing friendship so high and it was admirable, but at the same time it was clear to her they definitely underestimated the severity of the situation their friend ended up in. "Listen people", she said, standing up and looking at each one who was present in the room, "You still seem to not understand something. It's a crystalline desert for hundreds of miles around. The desert does not forgive stupidity. You do something stupid, you die, plain and simple. Your friend clearly wanted to die and he did the most stupid thing he could." She pulled a small leather bag from the secret pocket of her vest and showed its contents to everyone present. "It's his EGO device", she explained, "He just cut it out so that no one could find him and no one could help him survive. I thought I should give it to his girlfriend Iri, but she's still in coma so I kept it to myself for a while. He went right into the desert without any protection and right when both the sand storm and the razor storm were about to start. No sane person would do it. Not even…" She stopped in mid-sentence, thinking her personal past is completely irrelevant to what they were facing now, so there's no need to mention it. Then she sighed and continued. "Well, if you want it that way, let's assume Chase survived the storm somehow and actually decided to do something to prolong his life for at least several hours. Let's look here then." The screen showed the map of the rivers of Canada in their pre-war state. "Most of these rivers went underground and were preserved there, covered with all the crystalline structures we see on the surface. That's probably the only source of water he could find. He could set his camp where the water is closest to the surface. There are such places but they are scarce and also they attract animals including predators too. But still, if we're searching for a man in the desert, then such places are our best places to search around for his traces. On the other hand, he might have chosen to travel at least some part of his way underground by the river. Less predators around this way, but also there's a danger of rough water and also the river can go into a tunnel with no air caverns left to breathe. I've never been to this part of the desert, so I'm in no way to tell you how far you can go down the river or how frequent oases are or even which of the rivers are really still present there underground. But given the rough direction of his traces from the starting point, our best bet is the North Saskatchewan River and its tributaries, the part which is located East of Edmonton. That river is definitely there because we used it to travel up to the Ark and it goes further once it passes the Ark." "Now, no matter how I wanted to join the search team, I am no pilot. I have never been to that part of the desert, so I'm no use to you as a guide too. I've just said everything I could be helpful with, so I think I'll shut up now. If you think you can make use of Chase's EGO unit to find any clues on where he might have gone, I can give it to you then." After finishing her say, she sat in the chair, not sure if she was even allowed to speak for so long and if anything she said was any helpful or just made everyone angry at her.

Post by Taffer on Sept 21, 2015 22:03:21 GMT
"Well, when Atticus says about a pilot who has to be capable of flying in bad conditions it definitely would be me", Taffer voiced after listening to all arguments. "But then, there's a little problem if I go on a search mission. If the rest of the team still goes to find and stop Mistress and Newlo, then we need someone who can decipher their plans, their hideouts and their defenses. And the one who can do this better than me is you Volodya. That means if I go on a search for Chase, then you and Sandy will stay and work with our main mission on stopping Mistress and discovering her plans. Besides, Sandy can fly the Gargoyle as well as Atticus, so it gives the main team two pilots who can work on team transportation or evacuation. As you may have guessed, my participation in the search has personal reasons too. It was under my command when Chase was badly injured for the first time and it was me who had given the order to consider him dead. So if there's anyone who should be there searching for him, it should be me. Now for the rest of the search squad. As Erika pointed out, Belle is better to stay with the main team as a liaison to the authorities and Lady's protector. Atticus would better stay with Lady and kids. So this leaves us to Lu, she knows the desert and has the best experience with it even if she has never been to that part of it we're going to scan for Chase. Then there's Erika who has good survival experience as well. So if I'm going to go for a search mission, I'm going with Erika and Lu. I hope everyone will trust us to do everything possible to find Chase and bring him to stable emotional state at least. We'll borrow the VBI transport to get to Red Deer and then take our spaceship as the most protected aircraft we could get there. Then we'll scan for those rivers and follow them.
Now to our mission to find Mistress and any evidence of their involvement in all the events with Lady, Terraspires and Indogenes. As you can see, we still have no idea on where she could be hiding and what her future plans are. I need all the clues gathered together to see if we could come up with something. What I tried to do myself is to see if there were any Inquisitors among the mob which tried to start the cleansing ritual. I've highlighted those who were the most active and compared their faces to those Inquisitors we saw in Lady's broadcast. Nothing came up from this, but I have to make sure, so I ask Erika and Belle — are any of these faces familiar to you?
Next part I don't understand yet is why Micor tried to frame Lady for the murder which was completely irrelevant to Lady's case. Blaming everything they did on Lady I could understand, but if they are trying to add something irrelevant to her case, then I think there's something more to their plans on her trial than simply than just shuffling off the blame on to her.
And one more question addressed to Belle — did something come out of that nanite infection they injected in you? Is there something specific we can use to trace back to their location r something like that?"

Post by Belle Starr on Sept 22, 2015 3:21:24 GMT
Belle Starr and Erika Widowmaker looked over the pictures of the faces of the cleansing mob on Belle's datapad, but Erika merely shook her head "No," and Belle replied, "Yeah, I recognize these guys from my days as an ad hoc deputy law keeper as the usual suspects to petty crimes and bar room brawls in Paradise! Loudmouths and trouble makers every one of them, but none of them are truly masterminds! No good varmints for sure, but hardly Inquisitor material! That head Castithan Priest is another matter! He's been spreading his particular brand of bigoted orthodox religion in the Bay Area since I've been here, but he tended to ignore me both because I'm human and a woman, so I ignored him as well since he never advocated any criminality in his preaching! As to Micor wanting to frame Lady for murder, it could be he has an agenda all his own! Kidnapping's not a hanging offense, but murder is! Maybe Micor wants to get rid of the competition to be numero uno in the Inquisition after the Mistress of Judgment is gone! If I'm right, we can use that to play Micor and the Mistress against each other! I'd love to turn the tables on those yahoots and start playing mind games with them!"" Belle narrowed her blue diamond eyes and bit her lower lip lightly as she pondered Taffer's last question before answering, "Only thing else of note about my would be assassin's bullet was that the nanites had aspects of Omec technology, no big surprise there, and one other thing that I was going to tell you when Atticus arrived: It had the mark of Kabule on it according to Law Keeper Cooper! Coop also told me was that when he inspected the crime scene where my would be assassin set up shop to kill me, he found footprints, but that wasn't the unique thing! Coop found traces of a plant in the footprint that only grows around here on Alcatraz Island! Was the plant a plant to make us go on a wild goose chase, I don't know! Not sure what it means, but I put it out there for y'all to think about! All of it fits the Mistress of Judgment's modus operandi completely, as we all know she loves to play mind - " Just then Belle's hailer rang to the tune of "Everything is Awesome." Belle looked at the caller ID, then mouthed as she answered it, "Ara Shondu! I better get this!" saying out loud, "Ara, how good to hear - What?... Here and now?... How long?... Arrived at your place today and staying with you, but you don't know how long he's been in Paradise?.. How long is he staying with you and did he say why he was here?... Didn't say yet, huh?... I'll be sure and tell her, for I know she'll want to know! Thanks for the heads up, Ara! Bye!" Belle closed her hailer, and turned to Erika Widowmaker with a look of concern on her pretty freckled face, asking, "Y'all have any idea why your son, Senator Cael of the Votan Collective, might be in Paradise and perhaps more importantly, why he didn't contact us first?" Erika's large jade colored eyes grew bigger as she raised one purple eye brow and answered, "Not a clue!" you?

"Nothing is irrelevant on Lady's case," said Volodja Uljanov who got some intellectual nuts to crack. "I have few assumptions why that improvised murder occurred. They want Lady to be cut off from society for good. Humans may forget the abduction of Indogenes, but murdering one of humans is something different. If he succeeded on framing her, then Lady would have become an outlaw for sure. I have to admire Micor's improvisation skills. And there can be always a moment of envy as Belle pointed out. Inquisitors are fanatics, but not without personal ambitions. Footsoldiers may be simpler by nature, but even among them are specimens who have ambitions. Especially when they have a chance to taste power. And Micor is not a footsoldier, but a commanding officer who possesses real power already, likes the taste and wants a second portion. Power is an addictive substance. Reaching into the high position in their ranks proves that Micor is ambitious and quite a long time ago I menmtioned that possibility as well, when I tried to figure out the structure of Inquisition. That pyramid shaped plan, I draw when we had a trouble in home front. I believe, that my drawing is still stored somewhere. But Micor proved to be too hasty as well by framing Lady too prematurely. If you want to get rid of someone then do it yourself. He decided to use hands of others for the dirty job to avoid ruining his manicure and screwed it up. Luckily for us he didn't brought Lady along with him. If he did, then he could have a chance to replace Mistress with Lady one moment and get real power of the puppet master behind the scenes. And then become visible by pushing Lady aside. That's how crooked minds usually work, but Lady is way too straightforward for them. She decided to take responsibility and turned herself in. That was their mistake. They assumed that Lady finally becomes on of them, but she won't. Don't look at me like that like I am the Master of Intrigues. I never intended to be a criminal mastermind myself but to ruin their plans one must get familiar with their methods and thinking patterns. That's why I always tried to get myself acquainted with them. You have to be ready for getting your own hands dirty when cleaning up the mess. By the way. Since I am the only one who can speak at moment while others are hibernating and I do feel inspired to do it, then let's put two things together - reappearance of Fakeabule and appearance of Cael, who suffered from artificial personality of Kabule, forced upon him by Mistress. We managed to treat him quite effectively, but treating mental disorders aren't exactly a removal of appendix which can be removed permanently. Mental diseases are more like cancer - they always remain to be here, hidden, waiting their time to rise again. Mistress with her brainwashing put the snow ball on the roll and thus triggered something Cael always had in his mind. We can suppress it, but there is always danger that illness returns. That might be the case, but we can't be sure until we have spoken with him." Saying what he had to say, Volodja moved closer to Sandy, took her hand into his again, put it against his chest so she could feel his heartbeat and held it gently there like it was a treasure. To him it actually was.

Nothing relaxes more than hours lasting love making marathon during which one has free access to every secret place in the body of partner to make a through exploration while using every tool, nature provided one. That was Marcel's expert opinion about their long love making session with his beloved Lena Marr. She knew how to arise creativity in Marcel's mind and was stimulating in any possible way from acrobatic creativity to emotional, intellectual and psychical satisfaction.
Back of their van, Marcel observed Lena dressing up. She was hot and not only when she stripped for Marcel, but also when she put her clothes on again. But she was also more than just looks - she had brains and ambitions and good ideas to achieve her purposes. Everything she had made her perfect partner for mastermind. Marcel rose from their improvised bed as well to put on his clothes. At least his trousers, because he enjoyed the feeling of cool breeze on his skin, still wearing marks of their passion, because Lena's nails kept digging into his back when he took her to another level of erotic heights. But now their well earned relaxing season was unfortunately over.
Now they had some ordinary tasks to do, like taking their plane back to hangar so their minions could fix that bird, taking over a successful drug trafficking chain, find a decent chemist who could study the chewing gum they got as loot from Inquisitors and become most powerful syndicate in Paradise territory. Before driving to their hangar, Marcel took time to kiss Lena passionately once more. They were good to go. Except one tiny detail. Marcel slid his hand between Lena's thighs. Physical contact with our loved one is always good even when you are driving.

Broderick Smyth was busy with staring the ceiling in his cabin and counting the cracks there. After Erika had discussion about manners and achieving things with rightful methods on their way back, Brody was afraid to leave his cabin. Suddenly the door was pulled open. Broody turned his head towards the doorway and met glance of grey eyes of Dr. Wolfram von Eschen who carried big package under his left arm. "Guten Tag, Broderick. Hiding from the world, I see. Fortunately not UNDER the bed and that gives me a hope that you will recover. Especially when I have something for you." Brody stared at him, asking something absolutely irrelevant: "Is that a hick...?" "Halt's maul, Broderick! Gentlemen never tell about such things. They are extremely discreet about such topics. That's the lesson number one to you if you want to be a gentleman and I believe that you want. That's why I ordered some material to help you. Not the books of etiquette, but something more interesting because you are a teenager with hormonal overload and only way to keep your nose in the book or magazine is to show you some pretty pictures. Whole set of old "Playboy" magazines should make the learning process to be more fun in your case. Just don't concentrate on the girls only, but READ articles as well, because "Playboy" was created to be a lifestyle and entertainment magazine. It teaches you how you should talk, how you should walk, what you should wear and how you should wear it if you want to look elegant. Girls are just a cherry on top. You get a chance to get introduced with stories of some really good writers like Arthur C. Clarke, Ian Fleming, Vladimir Nabokov, Saul Bellow, Haruki Murakami or Margaret Atwood. Plus interviews of notable public figures, such as artists, architects, economists, composers, conductors, film directors, journalists, novelists, playwrights, religious figures, politicians, athletes and race car drivers. That means people who actually have something to say. Is that understood?" "I guess so, Mr. Wolfram. Girls are cherries!" "At least you heard SOMETHING, I told you," muttered Wolfram. "Start to get yourself familiar with the material! We are going to make a gentleman of you yet and in most exciting manner." And Wolfram began to rub his elegant hands.
