"Bloody emergencies!" cursed Volodja. "Man can't have time with a book and intelligent conversation partner at all. Thank you for quality time, Sophie dear." "The pleasure was all mine, Volodja," replied Sophie and kissed him on his cheek before resuming her place in Volodja's mind.
Volodja rushed into canteen, setting his priorities into an order of importance while he was on his run. Belle needs to be calmed down again. Then he will get something to eat. And then....not sure what will happen then. Something will definitely happen, he knew. His experiences said so.
"Tinkerbelle," he said calmly as usual after his quick arrival. "I think we should return to our previous pretty human form and let your beautiful mind win the Volge again. We did it earlier and now we have a chance to demonstrate our progress handling our little Volge problem in front of the audience and impress everyone here. By the way Raph. Give me a table cloth. Pronto!"
"And Alfred", he sent an EGO message. "Check her out for nanites again just in case. Pretty please."
Receiving that important item, he was asking for, he stood almost still, but risking reaching out his hand and touching Belle. Maybe it helps her a bit. For Belle's sake he was willing to take a risk losing a limb. And if he won't lose it, then he has two hands, so he can use both knife and fork and order something fancy from Ralph. Something German this time perhaps. Lady had her knackwurst, but Volodja could order...yeah exactly.

Still eating, I glance at Volo. "Not sure why you are panicking. She isn`t going to hurt anybody. are you Starr Eyes? She is just being melodramatic. Besides this is basically your fault. She insists on teaching Lady, because you refuse. Lady refuses to be taught by anybody but you. Now if you don`t mind. I am just going to keep eating. You can solve this, since the issue is between you 3 and therefor not an actual Command problem. Good luck, and don`t worry, security won`t interfere unless a member of the Alpha strike team asks them to. And I know I am not going to and doubt Lady will since we are both certain that even Volge Starr wouldn't hurt Lady, so if you need security then you can call them."
I then turn and talk to Broderyk, as I let Volo and Lady deal with Belle. The issue is between them anyway, so why should I get involved before they have a chance to work it out? Commanders need to know when to let others handle a situation afterall.

"My Giant friend," said Volodja as politely as ever. "Belle, Lady and me will deal with this matter peacefully...or some other way, if necessary. We have enough time to find a guilty ones later, when our problem is solved. No security needed, because I believe in Belle. And somehow I doubt that security team is capable to handle the problem any other way than violent. And violence is not a solution here as you know. I don't need any trigger happy people here to cause more mess than we have already. By the way - nobody is panicking here, Giant."
Volodja thought about his possible guilt and found that he was innocent here. Main reason, he wanted to pass that task, was his fear that Lady won't respect her any more, but respect is a necessary component of learning process. You don't want to learn anything if you don't trust and respect your tutor. Then it's better leave teaching to someone, who still has authority in student's eyes. And Volodja wanted that Lady keeps studying no matter what. And if things calm down, he has to ask from Lady, what happened here and whom she wants to be her tutor from now on. Good thoughts come too late sometimes...He should have talked with Lady first and convince her to accept Belle or someone else, whom she considers to be her best choice.

"Gentlemen... and Lady, "Communicated Alfred through the team mates' EGO implants, his voice as arrogant as ever, "Now that you mention it, there are five times as many nanites in her system then the last time, and they are fresh and VERY frisky! I'm trying to use Belle's natural immune system to counter them, as they seem to be immune to the EGO units efforts, but it will take time. As to Belle's consciousness, I'm afraid she is AFK at the moment, and the Were-Volge is in full control. Good luck to you." Blue spikes shot out from where Volodja touched Belle, piercing his hand, as the Were-Volge stared at Volodja with red glowing eyes, stating as fact, "I want to eat your head little man!" "Um, Mr. Atticus, sir" Said Brody nervously as Lady looked on in interest, "Shouldn't we be running now?"

"Sophie dear," said Volodja, kicking couple of tables over with his foot and making some space. "Get my adrenaline glands to work, because I need them more than ever."
He had a plan already, involving table cloth in his hand and lot of moving without falling down. He must exhaust the beast, so Belle could come back and take control of it. An only solution at moment was... Corrida! he didn't considered himself to be a greatest matador de toros ever, but he just had to last long enough to get the Belle in charge of Volge. So he flashed the table cloth in his hand and let Belle to storm towards it, saying: "Don't lose your head instead!" In last moment he turned himself on his heels and pulled the cloth to aside, letting Volge to pass him.
He knew the theory and history of the bullfight and he didn't liked final result of classical - killing the bull, but he was not intending to harm Belle anyway, so everyone should be happy. And he ordered some music from Sophie as well. Pasodoble is always suitable in cases like that for creating the right mood. But if others wanted to participate as his subalternos, he was not mind at all.
After all he had to save his strength and use deceivers if necessary. Until other brave ones will appear to the arena, he kept playing with the cloth, luring Volge to run and run some more, stepping aside or turning himself quickly around in relatively small area, so he would last longer. Even blood, dripping from his hand had it's purpose, making the table cloth looking more like a real red cape.

I smile as I look at Brody. "Mr. Smythe if you want to leave like some of the others did, then feel free. I just suggest you do so calmly and quietly, so she doesn`t notice you. I will stay in here and help Volodja in any way that he may require. Of course until that time, I will sit here and watch. Even I grow tired of being the one to control all the action. So Volo can do so. He is more than capable afterall."

As the Were-Volge rushed towards Volodja, crashing through the mess hall wall and into the kitchen, upsetting a huge pot of spaghetti cooking on the stove there. Luckily, Ralph the cook had taken refuge in the large fortified refrigerator room. As the Were-Volge rose unsteadily to its clawed feet with a roar of frustration, the spaghetti over its head like an ill fitting wig, the few remaining patrons in the mess hall exited out the front door, leaving only Volodja, Atticus, Lady, and Brody remaining in the room. Despite Atticus giving him permission to leave, Brody seemed frozen in place, either because of fear or fascination. Meanwhile, Alfred mentioned as if in passing, "Don't know if you care, but my EGO senses are detecting traces of nanites identical to those in Belle's cerebral cortex in an object in young Mr. Smythe's left coat pocket. Just thought you might like to know."

"That doesn't mean a thing Alfred. Please describe me whole situation, because I have my doubts about everything happening here," said Volodja, busy with manoeuvring. "Enlighten me with your talk , because I am interested about Lena's doings too. Was she near Belle and Brody, so she could have contact with both of them?" And Volodja made another quick turn to save his skin from another attack.
Bullfight was fun, but dangerous and Volodja could hear Sophie cursing, when she tried to squeeze more adrenaline out from his glands. And Volge was still relatively fresh while Volodja started to sweat slightly.

As the Were-Volge readied for another charge, Volodja could almost hear Alfred virtually sigh as he began, "I expected better from you Mr. Uljanov, an educated man such as yourself! I expected no less from the Irathiant Neanderthal, but you should have understood. Let me put it in terms even both your primitive brains can understand. First, Belle is full of five times the number of nanites she had in her last time she was enraged by them and turned into a Were-Volge, so she is clearly not in control. Second, I can clear them from her system, but they are fresh and powerful, and it will take time, in which she will probably - I'd say 78.954% certainty - have eaten your head by then. Third, In young Mr. Brody's left coat pocket is a small receptacle with the vestiges of the identical nanites in it, and therefore is most probably - I'd say 98.958% probability - of being the source of the nanites coursing through Belle's system. Simply put, you all are doomed! Nice knowing you! Hope you wrote your wills!"

"Don't you worry Alfred. You won't inherit anything since you refused to cooperate," replied Volodja. "And I am ready to lessen my chances."
If that pasodoble with death takes too long then he will end up headless and that wasn't thing he planned for his future. He yelled as loud as he could: "Giant! I need your hand here! Nanites inside Belle are fresh and I won't last long enough to exhaust them! Join me please! Help a freaking friend here!"
He was still dancing around, playing with Volge, but this one was definitely a team effort, because he won't survive as a solo player here and Atticus was his best comrade, friend and partner, so Volodja counted on him to step on arena and help him out - it would be a fair play, as long as Giant gets his cloth too.

"You were all at the table! Officer Marr was within reach as well! You all are such a feely-touchy lot, that any of you could have injected Belle with these vicious nanites," Said Alfred sarcastically. The Were-Volge charged again, snapping its large beak like mouth at Volodja, narrowly missing his head, then made a huge clawed fist crushing a table inches from Volodja's dodging form. Meanwhile, unnoticed by all, Lady Christianna's locket began to pulsate purple.

Hearing Volo calling for help, I get up and quickly walk into the kitchen. Then I shout at Belle to distract her. "Hey Starr Eyes here's tomato in your eye!" I grab a handful of fresh tomatoes and start throwing them at Volge Starr to distract her and buy Volodja sometime. As Volo manages to move away, I hit Belle with another tomato to keep her attention on me for awhile, so Volodja has a chance to catch his breath.

"For a scientist, Alfie, you are getting really personal. Where is your scientific objectivity gone?" mocked Volodja, using the pause Atticus's interference granted him. "You just used "Vicious" and said it in sarcastic tone. I expected something more neutral with your choice of words and in your voice techniques too. It doesn't add scientific credibility at all." And he had to quickly move his body away from the path of attacking Volge again. Tomatoes were nice touch. Red! Suitable for Corrida. Purple glow around Lady's neck was not! And having Lena near Belle right before another Volge attack was wrong too.
"Must...tell...Atticus..."Volodja hissed and gave up Sophie for a second to send her to Dinara with questions concerning about Lena's behaviour. That was almost a fatal decision, because he could easily get stumped by the Volge, but fortunately Atticus's another tomato hit Volge's head and distracted her, so she just stormed by.

"Listen," Began Alfred, his voice beginning to sound strained, "I'm doing the best I can here with limited resources, so shut the hell up and let me do my job!" Meanwhile, Brody and Lady remained frozen in place seated at the table, watching the battle as if it was in a video game. Lady's locket began to pulsate purple faster and brighter. Atticus' tomatoes fulfilled their purpose, as the creature turned his attentions away from Volodja and to Atticus, saying in it's raspy voice, "Ah, harbinger of tomato paste, I have craved this battle since we first met! Prepare to greet your own death!" The creature charged Atticus, as Lady's locket pulsed even faster. "Uh, guys, Baby Atticus is getting antsy in here," Said Sandy with a concerned voice!

"I welcome death whenever it finally chooses to greet me, Spikey one!" As Belle charges I do a rolling dive out of the way. Then I grab another container. As I reach in and pull out it's hard and slightly slimey items to throw, I chuckle as I realize they are snails. Then I say my next one liner as I throw the large snails one at a time. As I do so, I reach to my waist and grab a bio grenade. "Time to slow to a Snail's pace Belle!" I roll my eyes at the cheesy line I just said as I keep chucking them. As I start my next volley of snail tossing, I also toss the Bio grenade, hoping it's slowing affect buys us a little more time.
Hearing Sandy I say, "Dak!" Then I mentally have Dinara relay a message to Sophie for Volo. "Volodja go check on Lady and everyone else still in the mess. Belle seems to be distracted with my food fight so you are the best choice to go out there!"
As soon as Sophie barges in with worry in her face, Dinara and Amber who are now just talking and enjoying each other's company look up at her. As soon as Sophie asks her questions, Dinara rushes to hug her worried sister as she tells her everything she knows, including the fact that Lena whispered something into Belle's ear as she left.
