After awhile the Count had condomful of nanobots at his disposal and he sneaked along the path of the Bat. Reaching the place which the Bat had to pass for sure, the Count climbed upwards and when the Bat appeared, the Count poured contents of his improvised rubber bag to his head and shoulders. Little reprogrammed buggers climbed through tiniest cracks in Bat's armour and soon he begun to feel an itch all over his huge figure. Then he felt a sudden urge to scratch himself and begun to wriggle and instead of going forward he leaned against the nearest pillar and begun to scratch himself against it just like a grisly who tries to communicate with others by rubbing trees... "That should keep him busy for a while," chuckled Count while he dropped down from his ambush point and sneaked towards my whereabouts. "One thing is to fight someone you can see, the other is to fight something you can't. Besides - nothing handles delusions of grandeur better than a harmless but annoying itch which forces people to deal with themselves instead of the rest of the world." As the Count left the Angry red Bat-Messiah, the synthetic-and-self-proclaimed-Lord Death was scratching against the pillar and angrily cussing about the nasty little bastards not deserving to use a God as their dinner. As the Count got near a boulder that The Bat-Messiah had knocked into the ancient tunnel, and the Count started chuckling again (this time because of the Bat-Messiah's remarks about unworthy insects daring to chew on a God), a big hand was seen reaching up to the top of the huge boulder. It was immediately followed by a second. Then the Count saw their owner's head appear, as I pulled my big frame up onto the boulder in my path. As I climbed onto the boulder, hearing the Bat-Messiah's rants about insects in the distance, I saw the Count coming from that direction and nearing the boulder I was now crouched on. So as I slid off the Boulder on the opposite side of the one I climbed it on, I said to the Count, "Good to see you again Count. However it sounds like something other than my existence is really eating at The Bat-Bastard at the moment. Care to fill me in?" After the Count had explained what he had done, I chuckled and remarked, "Well that does sound like quite the biting remark you left him with and may indeed be on par with or even worse than one of Volodja's boring and pointless lectures. Now let's go join the others and see just what it is Lena is Babysitting, as you put it." The Count responded with, "Seeing as Marcel wanted me to find something to do for a little while I am thinking he and Lena were hoping for some privacy for a few minutes." I replied with, "Well judging from how faint the Bat-Bastard's voice is, even with him yelling, I am guessing we are quite a ways from his location yet thanks to all of the huge boulders and cracked beams he knocked into the path to slow me and you look a little tired. No doubt from running all the way down here to find me. Not to mention that you said that the Bat-Messiah is about half way between us and the Cavern the others are in. So do I need to give you a daking piggy-back ride or do you still have enough energy to walk back?" After the Count had given me his decision, we worked our way slowly back down the extremely long and windy tunnels that the Count had come through to find me. When we eventually got to the Bat-Messiah's location, he was still rubbing against the pillar for some sort of relief. However some of the nano-bots had climbed back up his body and onto his uncovered face and were trying to mend the damage he had done to it when he ripped off half the synthetic skin. So as he came into sight, we saw him rubbing against the pillar while also now plucking nanobots off his face and flicking them onto the ground, only for them to scurry back to him and start the climb back up his huge body in another attempt to fix the damages. So I whispered to Count Cassanuendo, "Well it looks like the Bat-butt is still VERY distracted by your Volodja-level annoyances. However he is planted very firmly against that pillar between us and the others. So I guess you bought Marcel and Lena even more time for their naughty antics since it will take us a little while to work around my big-red-counterpart without him noticing me....Not to mention that the real version of this doppelganger has caused me so much trouble, that I want to just stand here and revel in his discomfort for a little while longer before we find a way to get around him unnoticed. Besides you did say Marcel and Lena have things under control back there. So there is no reason to force ourselves past Bat-Bastard and further agitate him, when we don't have to." So as the Count and I stayed out of his view so I could enjoy the show the Bat-Messiah was unknowingly giving me, he started yet another tirade about the nano-bugs screaming things like, "Damn first two-legged organic vermin and now damnable multi-legged nano-vermin annoys and attacks me." ...or the biggest rant, "Damn vermin get off my daking face! I do NOT want the face of that pathetic lightning bat again. This half-bat-half-metal-man is the more fitting face of a God! An unflawed synthetic left half-combined with the scarred organic-looking right half of my brother-will instill more fear into my opponents than a fully-organic -face ever would! So as your God I command you to quit daking chewing on and 'fixing' me when I am NOT BROKEN! DAMN IT YOU FILTHY LITTLE NAN-BUTTS STOP IT NOW!!!"

The Synth Sister Whitney tilted her white tousled head as her ice blue eyes stared straight ahead deep in thought, before saying, "Yes that makes sense."
Fully repaired, the synth stealth vessel rose out of the dirt in the Forbidden zone, but instead of flying north towards their base in Sacramento or their capital city in Alaska, the ship flew south towards Paradise and San Francisco.

Lena Marr watched Synth Lady as she sat in her throne in the cavern of Olmec machines, waving her arms like a conductor in a symphony, the glowing purple energy swirling in the air as her hands moved before Lena asked, "Weeeeeeel, guess my work her is done! Assuming you're not going to reward me in some extravagant manner. As Belle Starr might say, I'll be moseying on now, ride into the sunset, blah, blah, blah - bye now!"
However, as Lena turned to leave, a wall of purple energy rose up between her and the cavern's exit while she heard Synth Lady's voice say behind her, "No, please, not yet."

In a perfectly geometrically square small white room, Belle Starr awoke with a migraine laying on the ground, asking no one in particular as she sat up, "Where in tarnation am I?"
"Hela. IDK," Relied the missing Lady Christianna sitting cross-legged next to her.

Commander Sandy Bell-Uljanov in the command chair at Fortress Kshaa, ordered Atticus Batman via her EGO, "You're too personally involved in this and you aren't seeing things straight Commander Batman. Kaj almost died and we don't know what we are dealing with here. You need to gather your team and pull them back here, so we can go over the intel and plan a counterattack. If you won't command it, I will!"

The Synth Sister Whitney tilted her white tousled head as her ice blue eyes stared straight ahead deep in thought, before saying, "Yes that makes sense." Fully repaired, the synth stealth vessel rose out of the dirt in the Forbidden zone, but instead of flying north towards their base in Sacramento or their capital city in Alaska, the ship flew south towards Paradise and San Francisco. Kaj notified Sandy that the Synth vessel had lifted off and was seen headed towards Paradise right before the Dauntless Adventure's sensors lost it due to it cloaking. Commander Sandy Bell-Uljanov in the command chair at Fortress Kshaa, ordered me via her EGO, "You're too personally involved in this and you aren't seeing things straight Commander Batman. Kaj almost died and we don't know what we are dealing with here. You need to gather your team and pull them back here, so we can go over the intel and plan a counterattack. If you won't command it, I will!" As the Synth vessel left the area above, my long-range comms cleared up and I heard Sandy's bossy voice in my head. So I snapped back to her, "Look I know Kaj got injured! Obviously if I can hear you yelling at me again, that means the Synth vessel above has been released and repaired and left as well! I also know how daking personally involved I am but we also know you would NOT just leave if Volodja or even his Synth counterpart may need your help! So do NOT expect me to with Lady! That said, it is obvious that my wife is not here, the Lady Synth is not in danger, and the Bat-Messiah is currently content to just let us walk away for the time being if we do not offer any threat to whatever he and his Lady are currently planning. However a daking purple wall just came up in the doorway between the tunnel the Count and I are in, and the cavern that Lena and Marcel are in, and I am NOT leaving a member of my team here! Not even Lena...although I will admit if it was only Marcel in there I may be tempted. However, I hate it, but I still have no idea where Lady is so you are right that we need to regroup! However we have no reason to commence a counter attack on the Bat-Messiah at the moment! After all he and the Synth Lady were just created as pawns so the real threat is of course the Synth Empire and they are most likely the ones with Lady which means you need to prepare the base for a possible threat from them. Then once we have regrouped there, we can take the fight to them, as soon as we find out where their base of operations in the area is! So once we find a way to get Lena and Marcel back, the four of us regroup at the Garilu. In the meantime I am assuming the Synth vessel cloaked and Kaj lost the signal. So until you can figure out where they are heading, set the base to full alert and have Captain Tasha Yar prepare to get the Vigilant into the air to provide air support if needed. You better also have Robet working on a way to detect the synth and their vessels through their daking cloak! Also as the signal is still spotty and Dinara is having a hard time keeping my conversation with you clear enough for us to hear each other, I need you to notify Kaj to take the Dauntless Adventure back to Fortress K'shaa to help further fortify the base's defenses. We have the Garilu here so we will just drive it back as soon as we get clear of these tunnels. So as soon as I can talk to Lena and Marcel and ensure they are safe, and hopefully convince them to join me and the Count on the Garilu, then we will get out of these tunnels as soon as we can and we will get back in the Garilu and head back to Base! I will do so as quickly as possible and then we will take the Garilu back to regroup at Fortress K'shaa! Until then keep up the good work and keep all of our people safe!...and before you yell at me anymore... ...I promise that once we are back at base I will hear you out, even if you are once again yelling at me, before we send anybody to RESCUE Lady and stop this current daking threat since you did take both Taffer's and Erika's places as head of tactics and whatever daking else they did! I know you deserve that and I do owe it to you out of respect for all the great work you do!" After Sandy finally finished her heated side of the conversation, I glanced back at the Bat-Messiah and noticed that he was on the other side of the wall and that the purple energy wall had disabled all the nanites on him. So as the Count and I looked through the purple wall and watched him swagger to Synth-Lady's throne and stand calmly by her side as he watched her 'guests' to see how they were going to react to Lady's 'request', I quietly said to the Count, "dak. I still do not know how I ended up in Command or why the others still willingly follow me including Sandy, even though she makes it quite clear that she disapproves of almost everything that I do. Hell I am not even sure why I feel most at peace as a Commander under pressure when I had always thought I was happy and at my best back when I had no alliances and was all alone, but obviously I am much happier as a Commander and family man with real friends. Anyway now we just need to figure out how to get Lena and Marcel out of there very quickly so we can get back to base since Sandy is right that they all need their Prime Commander back there as soon as possible! Now let us see if Lena and Marcel can hear us through this daking wall, while we also try to come up with a plan to help them, in case The Bat-Bastard and his Lady refuse to release them."
The Count responded with, "And if they are free to go but refuse to join us?" I replied to the Count with, "Well then you and I leave them here and the two of us get to the surface as soon as we are sure of that. Then we quickly finish rebooting the Garilu's systems and get back to the Fortress right away. Besides as I still owe them some pay, I know they will return for it at some point. After all neither of them would ever let me get away with not paying them what they are owed."
Then I walked up next to the wall and as I touched it, seeing the wall's purple energy and my blue energies gently intermingling, but not able to currently push my hand all the way through the energy wall, I said loudly in hopes that I could be heard through the energy wall, "Lena are you and Marcel still alright in there?! Will they let you go, or do we need to find a way in there?!" The Bat-Messiah rolled his eyes and responded with, "Quiet out there Brother-Vermin! My Lady is talking to the white wench! Then I am sure once she has responded to MY Lady that you will get your answer from Lena and her human..'.companion'!" I snapped back, "Do NOT tell me to be quiet!...Lena we need to get out of here as soon as possible so we can power the Garilu back up and regroup with everybody back at Fortress K'shaa! So we can figure out where the Synth Empire is holding Lady, rescue her and stop whatever the dak the Synth Empire is planning here!...and Bat-Messiah are you still going to help once we find her location...and if you are, does that mean you are coming back with us or giving us a way to contact you?" While Lena was debating Synth-Lady's request, The Bat-Messiah responded with, "First brother (eye-roll as brother was spitefully said), it is The Bat-Messiah or Lord Death! NOT BAT-MESSIAH! Second I will indeed help rescuer your Lady, IF My Lady wants me to. Third once you have your Lady's location just notify me on this hailer device that I took off your purple flesh-bot of a man when I 'met' him. I am sure you and he both know the frequency of his field-hailer." Glaring through the wall, I snapped, "We do, and don't you EVER try killing any of my people again! Now let Lena and Marcel answer me!" The Bat-Messiah responded with, "I will only kill them if they are a threat to us for now, and your human can go any time he wants, if he wants. As for Lena, I am sure she will answer you once she has decided how to respond to My Lady. Of course I do assure you that if either choose to respond to her in a threatening or violent way, then they will not be alive to respond any further. Remember I did say they are only safe while they are not a current threat. So even if they respond negatively to the request, they better continue to not be a threat to us."

The purple wall fell and Lady Synth said impassively, "Very well. I will not be selfish - but I hope my BFF will visit soon."
"Yeah... sure thing L.S.," Answered Lena turning to Atticus Batman and whispering to him, "Let's hightail it out of here while we can."
*****
The Synth stealth airship landed outside The Crater. Carrying her Synth sister's blonde head in one hand and a small tracking device in the other, Whitney flanked by two heavily armed Synth security officers headed to a small trailer in the backyard of the bar. Busting down the door, they found Varus Soleptor dressed only in a smoking jacket with a glass of champagne in his furry hand standing next to a bed where Yvette's inert headless body lay dressed only in a pink teddy.
Whitney's ice blue eyes grew big as her pale jaw fell speechless, but Yvette's head that she was holding scowled and said angrily through clenched teeth, "It's a good thing I can sense you didn't do anything else to my body other than change my clothes otherwise I would bite your fingers off!"
As two Synth guards carried Yvette's body to the airship and the small Liberata fell to his knees begging for his life, Whitney carried Yvette outside who yelled back at Varus, "When I get my body reattached, I WILL be back to 'talk' to you about this, ya little pervert!"
Once all the Synths were safely back in their airship, it silently rose and flew stealthed back north to the Synth colony in Sacramento.

Back in Fortress Kshaa, Commander Sandy Bell-Uljanov sat tensely in the command chair answering curtly, "Thank you Captain Oenfer, keep me informed."

I was still running my hand through the purple wall and watching my energies mingle with it as I awaited Lena's response, when the wall fell and Lady Synth said impassively, "Very well. I will not be selfish - but I hope my BFF will visit soon." "Yeah... sure thing L.S.," Answered Lena turning and whispering to me, "Let's hightail it out of here while we can." After watching the residual purple glow disappear from around my blue energies, I whispered to Lena, "Daking agreed. The sooner we can get away from here and rescue Lady, the better." Then I said out loud, "Alright team, back to the surface! We need to get the Garilu powered back up and get back to base immediately so we can find MY wife before the daking Synth-All-Father does something to her that will cause me to wipe out his whole daking colony! Marcel lead the way." As everyone started to scramble to the tunnels leading back to the surface with me taking the rear, I sensed an energy surge behind me and spun around just as The Bat-Messiah threw a low-charge energy ball at me. As it hit me in the chest and caused me to stagger slightly before catching my balance, The Bat-Messiah said sternly, "I will keep my word and help you when you contact us with a location IF my wife agrees. However 'BROTHER', after that all bets are off and our 'family feud' is back on!" I remarked with "Naturally. Now take care of your daking wife as she is far better than you deserve!" The Bat-Messiah chuckled hollowly and snapped back, "Agreed, of course it goes with out saying that the same can be said of you and yours." As I stepped into the tunnel behind the others I said back, "Don't I know it, which is why I will NEVER take her love for granted." With that I ran down the tunnels behind the others. As I boarded the Garilu and the Count closed the door, Marcel and Lena were already working on getting it's power restored after the minor EMP pulse that The Bat-Messiah had delivered to it earlier. So I quickly got to work helping them and once it was powered back up, the Diabolical Duo proceeded to take us towards the closest known exit back into Paradise so we could head back to Fortress K'shaa.
High above in the Dauntless Adventure after Sandy had asked for an update and told him to hold position until he saw the away team return to the Garilu and get it started towards home, Kaj gave her his update. Then Commander Sandy Bell-Uljanov sat tensely in the command chair answering curtly, "Thank you Captain Oenfer, keep me informed." Some time later, Kaj's team monitoring the Garilu and crater below informed him that the team's signatures had resurfaced and they were headed to the Garrilu. So Kaj had his monitoring officer bring it up on screen and they watched closely as they counted a human, a Castithan and then a Liberata signature leave the crater and board the Garilu. Moments later, their Prime-Commander's Irath/Grid signature appeared as he exited the tunnels behind his comrades. Then he also boarded the Garilu. After what seemed like an hour but was actually just a handful of long minutes, the Garilu powered up and headed towards the nearest known tunnel system that lead back towards the 'civilized' bay area. So as Kaj's team monitored the Garilu's progress, Kaj Oenfer contacted Commander Sandy Bell-Uljanov and reported in with, "Alright Commander, the Prime Commander's team has all boarded the Garilu and headed towards the tunnel system leading back to Paradise that the Prime Commander had shown us when we retrieved Belle from the area not long ago. No synth activity is following them and the Bat-Messiah and his wife seem to have stayed behind in the caverns below. So as ordered, the Dauntless Adventure is now heading home but will continue to monitor the Garilu's progress and scan for the Synth-Sisters on our way." With that Kaj ordered navigation to take them back to Fortress K'shaa, while his monitoring teams were to keep track of the Garilu's progress and keep scanning the areas in their paths for the Synth sisters' known signatures.

As they left the Forbidden Zone towards Fortress Kshaa, There was a sudden bright purple light behind them as a giant purple mushroom cloud rose from the obliterated Olmec cavern.
Lena Marr grinned wickedly as she looked back at the dissipating cloud with cold sky blue eyes than looked back at the accusatory glares saying frankly, "Hey, she said I was her BFF, I didn't say I was hers."

Lena Marr grinned wickedly as she looked back at the dissipating cloud with cold sky blue eyes than looked back at the accusatory glares saying frankly, "Hey, she said I was her BFF, I didn't say I was hers." I remarked, "True. Besides at this rate, I am sure there will be a Synth-Lena for her to befriend at some point, if there isn't already. That is if she survived your explosive surprise. Well at least that is one Lena surprise that I don't object to." just then our comm system bleeped signifying an incoming call. Glancing at it's ID, I recognized it as the field-hailer that The Bat-Messiah had swiped from Kaj when wounding him. So I sighed heavily and said to Lena, "Well it looks like at least one of them survived. Let's see who." With that, I answered the call over the speaker so everyone in the Garilu could hear the conversation and, I replied gruffly with, "I take it that means you daking survived Bat-Bastard...or is this Lady that I am speaking to?" The Bat-Messiah responded angrily with, "Yes it's me, you vermin-of-a-brother! Nice little surprise you left for us! Too bad it didn't work like the wench wanted for we BOTH survived intact! However we do thank you for sealing up some of the unwanted tunnels for us. Now this place is more secure and easier for me to protect for as long as we choose to continue to stay here, though it does make it less likely that my Lady and I will help you rescue your Lady if you do request our help at that time, Patheticus! Of course I may still help just so I can end you in front of your other half!" I replied with, "It also leaves you with fewer ways out of there." With that I disconnected the call and chuckled as I said, "Damn, not sure what your 'surprise' was meant to do, but as you heard, they survived. Even though it would have been nice if he hadn't. I hate the existence of one Bat-Messiah, let alone two...and the daking bastard refers to me as brother?! I already had KAfool and did NOT want or need another daking brother! Dak, it just makes me miss Erika even more! SHe truly was the voice of reason in my daking family, and it seems I need that now more than ever! Marcel please increase the speed and get us home as fast as possible! The sooner we can regroup at Fortress K'shaa, so we can finally go rescue Lady Christianna, the daking better!"
Meanwhile in the sky above, the Dauntless Adventure recorded the explosion from the Forbidden Zone, while also watching as the Garilu eventually emerged from the 'hidden' tunnels connecting the Forbidden Zone to the rest of the Bay. Then as it monitored the Garilu's progress towards San Fransisco, it also temporarily registered the appearance of two of the Synth-Sisters at the Crater Bar, before their signatures were once again masked. So as the Dauntless Adventure reached the San Francisco airspace, Kaj contacted Fortress K'shaa and reported back to his adoptive sister Sandy, "Dauntless Adventure to Fortress k'shaa. Come in." Sandy answered with, "Go ahead Captain Oenfer." So Kaj responded with, "First I am reporting that there was some sort of explosion in the Forbidden Zone shortly after the Garilu left the crash site. Our sensors recorded it for us to go over if needed. Second the Garilu is back in Paradise and on the way back to San Francisco. Third, we picked up the signatures of Whitney and Yvette at the Crater Bar area, but only for a couple of minutes, before they masked them again. Now that I have given our updated report, we have Fortress K'shaa in our view. So the Dauntless Adventure requests permission to come home and land, provided you do not need us to stay in the air and circle the Fortress as a defensive counter-measure until the Garilu returns."
