As I got closer to the bridge I felt the sub starting to move, as I also sensed Lady's EGO moving away from it. Then when I entered the bridge, I saw Boris sitting at a table but keeping one hand under it. As he raised his free hand to signal the guards to keep me at this distance, I could detect a faint electrical energy from a hailer or some sort of remote under the table in front of Boris, thanks to my Grid abilities, and could safely assume the hand I can not see is on that said device in case I make a move against him. The same Grid abilities I had used to convince the security team and their medical scan that I am a terminally ill Gulanee; and carrier of an extremely gruesome, deadly and highly contagious human viral disease with no cure that only my sealed armor is keeping contained.
When Boris made his silent gesture to get the security team to keep me at a safe distance from Boris, I glanced at the bearded Senior security officer, who identified himself to Boris as: Senior Security Chief Stuart "Stu" Bidasoe, and although he was currently succeeding in keeping a good poker face, I could see his distain of both Boris and the Captain in his eyes as he regarded them. However he merely kept a straight emotionless face as he nodded and ordered his men to keep me at the distance Boris wanted me. Then he ordered one of his men to take the detailed medical scans of me to Boris so he could see that Security did indeed check out my claims and were able to verify them with a medical scanner.
(State Of East London - Seed of Deceit Lyrics) As Boris looked over the report and came to the same conclusion as his security and medical officer, I continued keeping my built-up energies jumping around in my sealed armor to continue my bluff, as well as using that rampant energy to conceal my EGO signature as I sent a quick EGO message to Taffer.
"Lady moved away from Bridge. Sense some sort of failsafe device near Boris, probably under table in his reach. Sub slowly moving towards sea and ascending. Can't get close enough to Boris to disable any fail safes. Senior security Officer barely containing delusions of grandeur and disdain of Boris and Captain. May soon find myself in middle of mutiny on Bridge. So Taffer disable virus and...please save Lady if I can not."
Then I said calmly and coldly to Boris, "Your men know who I am, as I am sure you do as well. So this is the part where I usually say, "Death sends his regards." Then kill my bounty. Which in this case would be you because you have multiple high bounties on your head that will only be paid upon your untimely death. Doctor E. Todt wants your left hand as proof of your death. The Votanis Collective want your head and do not care what condition it is in as long as there is enough of it left to confirm it is yours. The Officials of Il Fate want your eyes and tongue, and the Australian Defense Force want your left ear and heart. I do not know why the last two want such odd proofs nor does it concern me. Only their money does. However I do not care much for that doctor or those organizations, nor do they care for me. So I will make an exception and instead allow you to give me a good enough reason for me to just retake my property that is in your possession, as well as a sizable sum of scrip to repay me for my troubles and transport to the nearest land of course. Then I will leave you alone to your schemes."

The same two human guards who had dragged Lady Christianna from the ventilation system to Boris dragged her to the Captain's small state room, tossing her on his cot-like bed. The direct dose of hallucinatory drugs she inhaled earlier was slowly being cleaned from her system by her EGO, so now she was feeling incredibly sleepy. She curled into a small ball facing the wall as she lay there. The first guard elbowed the second in the ribs, grinning as he pointed at the drowsy teenager on the bed.
"She's not bad looking in a scrawny sort of way," Said the first guard, a scrawny man in his own right "You thinking what I'm thinking?"
The second guard raised his busy eyebrows, replying, "No, what are you thinking?"
"I'm thinking I've got some pent up frustrations that need some release, if you know what I mean, and I'm looking at the way to release them, if you know what i mean!" The first guard then chuckled, but not in a humorous way.
The second guard shook his shaved head slowly, "Naw, the boss won't like it."
"How long we been cooped up on this damn sub, with no shore leave, and none likely on the horizon?" Asked the scrawny guard with a grimace.
"Too long," Admitted the burly bald guard scratching his chin with one hand.
"Besides the Boss won't care, she's only an animal - and I'm craving some bestiality," Said the scrawny guard with a evil grin as he reached down over the bed to grab Lady's shoulder and roll her over.
So Taffer disable virus and...please save Lady if I can not," Lady's EGO eavesdropped on her husband's EGO conversations so often that it had become second nature, so her wide pink eyes popped open when she heard his voice in her mind.
As the scrawny guard grabbed her shoulder roughly, Lady tried to engage her ghost powers but nothing happened because the hallucinogenic drugs were still interfering with her concentration. He turning her over with one hand, while ripping open her tunic with the other, exposing one small chalk white breast. Lady immediately punched him in throat with her small fist making him gasp for breath, then kneed him in the groin making him double over in pain, his head now on her chest. She grabbed his head in a headlock, slamming it into the wall she had been facing and knocking him unconscious, his body falling to the floor.
The burly bald guard approached carefully in a wrestler's stance, having seen what she did to his companion, but Lady didn't wait for him to act. Pulling her thin legs under her, she propelled herself at him like a frog propels itself into a pond, hitting him in the chest making him stagger as she held on, one alabaster arm hooked around his thick neck, her other arm's hand poking him in his eyes, not enough to puncture the soft tissue there but enough to cause him intense pain, then dropping off him. Temporarily blinded, he flailed around hoping to catch her in his grasp, but being as short as she was, she easily ducked his efforts. She pulled back her right fist, then leaped up, propelling it right under his square jaw with all her strength. The bald guard teetered for a moment, like a large tree suddenly cut down at the roots, before falling unconscious on top of his companion's body.
"Huh? Glass jaw," Said Lady to herself, a bit surprised that the battle was over already and that she had won; then as she pulled her tunic shut to cover herself, she smiled when she told the unconscious men, "Self defense. Atticus taught me!"
Taking the guards' hailers and sidearms, Lady looked cautiously out of the room and saw no one, "Saved self. Coming Atticus!" Lady's EGO communicated to Atticus' and Taffer's EGOs, heading to where her pendant infused with Atticus' Grid energy told her Atticus was in the enemy submarine, then sung under her breath, "She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah... "

"We had a quite weird incident involving Volge too, with them killing many people in the mines, and I can assure you that Belle was way too busy to produce or control any copies of herself or act as a judge. I hope your EGO has a recording about what had happened here because knowing the details would be beneficial in determining who is behind all of this. You see, we already had an issue with the doppelganger who tried to impersonate Belle, although that poor robot didn't even know she was trying to live someone else's life. If someone tries to play that card again, we better stop them before they could do any substantial damage to our friends or Belle's image in their eyes. And you definitely don't like having your leg pulled and you are probably eager to know who was trying to and why. As to taking a ride, we can definitely offer you a seat in this machine but Belle is still in command so it's up to her to decide if we're continuing our pursuit or taking it back to the surface."
Belle Starr climbed through the digging machines hatch and jumped down to the ground walking over to where the remains of the holograph projector were, bending over to examine it with a puzzled look on her pretty freckled face. She recognized the technology, but she wasn't sure where, although it was at the edge of her brain she knew, but couldn't access. She took out a plastic seal-able bag and a pair of tweezers from a secret pocket in her Liberty Trooper armor, picking up the pieces carefully and sealing them in the bag for closer examination later, then putting the bag and tweezers back into her armor's secret pocket.
"Belle's getting rid of the evidence," Lena Marr whispered to her cohort in crime, Marcel Lestrange, with an angry glint in her long lashed sky blue eyes. "She KNOWS what's going on! Nobody can be that naive! It's an act I tell you! She' probably planning on taking over the world with the Volge, the cunning bitch, and that will REALLY be bad for business Pooh Bear! Want me to gut her?"
Belle's enhanced hearing heard Lena as if she was standing next to her, but merely sighed as she turned and said loudly to Vo Kshaa, "I think we should head up top and try to contact the others, if just to hear if they found Erika or if we should renew our search... but... I don't trust my judgement right now! Too many gaps in my memory and too many mysteries, neither of which we have time to do anything about at the moment! I... abdicate command of the team to you Vo! You make the decisions about where we go," Then as Belle started to climb back up on the mining machine and before going back in through the hatch, yelled to Lena and Marcel, "Ya'll coming?"

"Me?" Vo's eyes widened in surprise but only for a moment as he quickly focused on survival of his group. "Okay team. We're going up to the surface and contact the Riot for an update of the situation. Then we decide what we're going to do next depending on what we hear from them. If they have already found Erika or at least heard from her then…" Vo stopped in mid-sentence as he finally noticed their team was missing one member and asked, "Wait, have anybody seen Lu?"
As if on cue, the ground under their feet started to shake as a deafening explosion sounded and the ceiling started to crumble down. Several big rocks broke off from it, opening a hole from which a big cloud of smoke and dust emerged. As Vo rushed to Lena and Marcel, helping them into the drilling machine, he noticed an orange energy ball falling from the ceiling and disappearing into the cloud. Wondering what it could be and barely recognizing it as Lu's Pulveriser's protective bubble, Vo carefully stepped into the settling dust, looking for Lu or at least one of her favorite weapons which could hold a clue on Lu's whereabouts. Moreover, a loud sound he could only recognize as mad laughter was adding to his bad feelings about the situation. Surprisingly, once the dust had settled a little, he found Lu sitting on her bottom and laughing loudly as she looked up to the ceiling seemingly ignoring Vo's presence.
"IT WORKED! I TOLD YOU IT WOULD WORK!" Lu shouted through her bouts of laughter as Vo approached.
"Are you okay Lu?" Vo asked as he touched her shoulder. "We're going up top to contact the Riot, you better join us. Have you seen traces of Erika by chance?"
"I DID IT VO!" Lu shouted as she finally noticed Vo in front of her while totally ignoring what he was asking her, "I'VE MADE A WORLD'S BIGGEST GRENADE LAUNCHER! I think." The last word was said in a much quieter tone as Lu finally saw Vo's lips moving and turned her head to the side, showing him her bleeding ears.
"Please come with me Lu," Vo patiently repeated what he had just said through his EGO, "We're going to the surface to contact the Riot. And get you medical help I guess. And please don't shout, I can hear you just fine."
"I'm fine VO!" Lu replied as the loudness of her voice shifted back and forth as she clearly could not hear herself. "Klimi HAVE said she would fix THIS IN minutes."
"This fucking MINE was RIGged TO explode and the TIME WAS ticking fast," Lu could not stop talking while Vo led her to the hatch door of the drilling machine. Once inside, Lu kept talking with her voice changing its volume. "I didn't have TIME TO pick all the CODES to each CHARGE THROUGHout the faciliTY! SO I've disabled those on the FAR EDges away from the main charge and LEFT THOSE on top of it to explode. Just reprogrammed them to detoNATE IN QUICK succession to blow out a BIG CYLINDrical hole from the cave up to the surface. Did you know it's not the raw gulanite which is explosive but only its dust? I've made a sequence so that the shockwave could make a wind which blew the dust away through the hole. You know WHAT GULANITE DOES when it meets high temperature? It melts. With those expLOSIONS WHICH MELTED the gulanite around them I've made a big mortar gun barrel aimed upwards. Then, just before THE MAIN CHARGE WAS about to explode, I've detonated the set of charges located under it. The shockwave and the burning Vysudium pushed the main charge through the barrel and threw it high up in the air where it exploded safely! Pity I could not be there to see the fireworks! InSTEAD I COULD NOT get away too far and it threw me through the floor right into Vo's hands! The mine is safe for now, but it's still full of disabled Vysudium charges and someone will have to remove them all before the mine can start working again!"

Erika Widowmaker finally found her way out of the tunnel leading to the submarine docking bay by climbing and swimming her way through it. Sitting on a rock outside the tunnel, she reached out with her EGO to no avail, so she set up her hailer to call the Riot and the Vigilant, saying, "I'm okay gentlemen, and at the entryway to the sub's underground refueling base. Would one of you gentlemen please pick me up, then blow the place to smithereens!"
Suddenly Erika heard explosions from the tunnel as smoke and dust billowed out the entrance, so she calmly added, "Never mind as to the latter - looks like someone beat you to it; however, I still do need a ride."
*****
In the seat next to the driver's seat, Belle Starr leaned her pale forehead against the dash, her blue eyes closed tight, trying to make sense of what Marcel Lestrange had said and all the strange events with the Volge that had occurred since she had arrived in Australia, wondering, "What is going on? What is happening to me? Does this have anything to do with the strange ceremonial rites I did with the Volge in the catacombs below San Francisco?"
*****
In the seat behind Belle, Lena Marr fingered the hilt of her sheathed Bowie knife with one chalk white hand, whispering to Marcel through clenched teeth, "Just give me the sign Pooh Bear, and I'll grab that blonde hair, pull it back, exposing her pale throat, and give her a permanent smile, ear to ear, laughing while I do it! Just-give-me-the-sign!"
*****
Lady Christianna was moved stealthily down the submarine, moving towards where her pendant told her her husband was located. If she saw any of the sub's human crewmen, she darted into cover until they passed, making her travels very slow indeed.
*****
Aboard the Vigilant, Sandy Bell sat next to her recuperating lover who was in a rolling bed, enjoying the holo-room's outdoor cafe. She sipped her Vanilla Latte until it was gone while holding his hand, then scooted her chair closer to him, laying her head on his shoulder as she sighed in contentment, watching the holo-people walk by.

Post by Atika Constantine on Jan 26, 2017 12:57:32 GMT
Atika saw the enemy sub rising towards the surface and start heading back out to sea. So she order Poe to follow it at a safe distance. However only minutes later they received Erika's hail saying, "I'm okay gentlemen, and at the entryway to the sub's underground refueling base. Would one of you gentlemen please pick me up, then blow the place to smithereens!"
Suddenly there were explosions coming from the direction of the Gulanite mines and Atika held her breath wondering what just happened and what to do until Erika's hail continued. So Atika exhaled in relief as she listened to Erika calmly add, "Never mind as to the latter - looks like someone beat you to it; however, I still do need a ride."
Atika looked at Poe and said, "Suggestions?!" Poe responded with, "Well we know she is alive and needs a pick up, but do not yet have contact with the team that went to get her. Then there is the sub that has now surfaced and is slowly heading out to sea with our Commanders and a deadly virus aboard it. So it will need to be watched, and if it reaches the ocean before we hear from our team, I am afraid we will have to destroy it before it has a chance to re-submerge and get away. Erika will of course need a lift as she said, and we will need to organize a search of the mine to find our missing team. How all of that is done is your call as you are in command here. However remember we do have several resources at our disposal that could help.
We have the Riot which is fast and maneuverable. We are in contact with the Vigilant which is aware of your current command position here, and although they lack speed and maneuverability, they do have weapons more capable of destroying a nuclear sub without it being able to release it's chemical warfare than the Riot's small firepower. We are also in contact with the ADF who is willing to help however they can and even have people near the mine last we heard. So Commander Constantine, what is your Command?"
Atika thought for a second then quickly hailed the Vigilant and got in contact with it's captain, Kaj Oenfer. Once Kaj was on the line, Atika said, "Kaj I need the Vigilant to keep the sub in sight and prepare your most powerful weaponry to disintegrate it at my order, as a last order in case it reaches the ocean and our Commanders still haven't managed to stop it or contact us! Understood?!"
Kaj said calmly, "Will do. So what about Erika and the explosion at the mine she mentioned? The rest of our team was still in there, where they not?"
Atika hesitated for a brief moment, then after taking a quick deep breath and releasing it she responded glumly with, "They were, but our main concern at the moment has to be the sub and the crew member we know is alive!...So keep track of the sub and keep your weapons locked on it in case I have to give the order. We will pick up Erika, then catch up with the sub as well. Perhaps we will even be able to come up with a way to stop it after we get Erika."
Kaj said, "Understood Riot. Good luck. Vigilant out." then ended the call.
Atika contacted Erika and said, "On our way but in a hurry. So will just drop a ladder out the rear hatch. Be prepared to grab hold once it is within reach and climb aboard. I will explain the situation at that time as I am busy, busy, busy, up here! Sorry!"
Then Atika ended the hail and said, "Alright Poe you heard the plan. Let's go get Erika. Just hover long enough for her to grab the ladder. THen take us back on course to follow the sub!"
Poe did as ordered, as Atika contacted LT. Col. Akhurst of the ADF. "Colonel I have an update and a request. We have a team on the enemy sub but lost contact with them. Our sensors show that it has surfaced after discharging all it's oxygen reserves and is slowly making it's way back to sea but one of it's engines has failed. The Vigilant will keep tabs on it and make sure it doesn't get far, even if it does make it to sea. We have a team member in the river near the mine's sub bay and are on the way to pick her up, then are heading to catch up with the sub. However there was an explosion in the mines and we can not get in contact with our team there. So as you mentioned having some squads in the area of the mines, I was hoping you would send one to investigate the explosion and see if they could find any trace of our team, and if they need medical aid to get them to New Brisbane where they can be treated then sent through your Votan portal back to the Vigilant or back here as they also have the co-ordinates to the Riot's portal?"
Ackhurst said, "We just heard of the explosion and already have two squads heading to investigate. So they will look for your team and help them however they can. We have some ships with fully artillery, including torpedoes nearing the mouth of the river as I speak. I will order them to move into position to completely barricade the mouth. However the river is deep enough that if the sub submerges before it reaches the mouth, it could just go under them. However in that case our ships will drop depth charges to try to disable it."
Atika responded with, "Thank you sir. I will keep this channel open so we can get back in easy contact when needed."
Then Atika switched all Comm.s to her EGO and said to Poe, "I am going to go secure and drop the ladder for Miss Widowmaker! Be ready to get us back on path with the sub, as soon as she is on the ladder!"
Poe agreed, as Atika left the bridge. She quickly went to the cargo hold and retrieved one of the rope ladders, then moved to the rear hatch where she tightly secured her end of the ladder. Then when Poe told her over Comm.s that they were in position above Erika, Atika opened the hatch and dropped the ladder. Once she saw Erika grab it and give her a thumbs up to signal she was ready, Atika said over comm., "Aright Poe, she's on the ladder. Let's go."
Seconds ladder the Riot slowly turned and started back towards the direction the sub was heading, as Atika started pulling the ladder up while Erika was also climbing it, to get her back onboard as fast as possible. Once Erika was onboard, Atika closed the door, then contacted Poe and said, "She's onboard. You can speed up now!"
Then she said to Erika, "Alright I have to get back to the bridge. So you better join me if you want to know what is going on, for as I said earlier I am pretty busy at the moment."
Then as Erika and Atika both quickly moved back towards the Bridge of the Riot, Atika filled Erika in on everything she knew, including all the command decisions she has made since Taffer shockingly put her in charge of the Riot. She also informed Erika that Medic Jameson was onboard the Riot as well, just in case Erika needed immediate medical aid.

"Irritating a sleeping Volge involves several risks, Honey Pot," said Marcel Lestrange after consideration. "I completely share your opinions about these so called "good" people, but I am a bit worried about possible consequences of your...hypothetical act. You see, my love - I have a feeling that as soon you attempt that the judge and the jury will return. They already proved that their so called "justice" is not based on the presumption of innocence, according to which, one is considered innocent unless proven guilty. They found you guilty right away...That is something I prefer to prevent from happening.
Another aspect, I would like to point out, is, that we are not being paid yet. That knife play might have a negative impact to our relatively fragile truce with them. Good herd shears the sheep because you can have several cuts from the lamb and make more profit. We must think strategically too, Honey Pot. Sometimes words: "You will pay for this!" actually mean an actual financial transaction where money changes owner. Their scrip becomes our scrip. If we cut the deal then we also are permanently cut off from the sheep to shave.
I can not decide for you Honey Pot, but I love you so much that I do not want to risk with your life and your financially secured future. And if good doers manage to save the world then we have a chance for that financially secured future. Lot of business plans to fulfil. And some people to kill."
Marcel Lestrange leaned back on the car seat, turned a bit and begun to hum a song about his girl, while massaging Lena's shoulders. The song was called:

"Saved self. Coming Atticus!" Taffer heard Lady's voice through his EGO.
"Good to hear Lady," Taffer replied to both Lady and Atticus, "Because I've just sealed myself in the rear section of the U-boat to prevent any possible leaks of the virus and I was thinking on how to tell Atticus about that without getting him enraged too much. Maybe you've even saved my life!"
With his message transferred, Taffer concentrated on his main task on destroying the virus. He had some plan already in his head, but it needed some preparations to be made before it could be executed. First, he checked around the rooms to see how many crew members were there. Two of them in the engine rooms were sent to the land of dreams via the buttstock of his Lightning Rifle, and others, as he found out were already semi-unconscious due to the reduced oxygen concentration. "The presence of the diesel engine made the air circulate faster, which made this section to be affected by the air composition faster than others," Taffer concluded as he examined the engine itself. The engine, or, to be correct, the diesel generator which provided power for electrical motor, was the only one still running, but it had a duplicate fuel tube which suited Taffer's needs. The thief held his hand above each of the cylinders until his EGO confirmed that in all of them the fuel was properly burning which was also very important. With that knowledge, Taffer returned to the ballast tank which was turned into a biological laboratory. Taffer looked around, mentally marking all test tubes, vials and cans which might contain the virus. Upon further examination, his glance fell on a strange device with which was definitely designed to hold several vials.
"It seems like this one is used for moving the content from one vial to another without exposing it to the atmosphere," Em Dash explained, "Just place two vials to the appropriate places, connect them with the hose, pump in some compressed air and here it goes. You can also fill a syringe with it or put some new substance into the vial. Very cleverly made I must say."
"Just what we need," Taffer thought as he grabbed the device and took it to the engine room along with several vials he was going to test it with. While in the engine room, he shut off one of the fuel tubes and disconnected it, plugging the hoses of the device in between. This way, after he turned the valve on the fuel tube back on, the vials were being flushed with petrohol and the content was pumped into the engine where it burned in its cylinders. Taffer changed the vials in the device, making all of them successively flushed this way, and then moved into the ballast tank again to take the remaining vials and tanks.
"A steady progress on my main task," Taffer said to Atticus, "The fire in the engine will finish all that petrohol isn't enough toxic for. I just need to keep the engine for a while and it all will be a matter of minutes."

"We discovered an intruder inside the laboratory," was announced to the Captain who quickly forwarded the rest of the message to Boris, so latter could decided what to do about the situation. The latter rubbed his rough chin with his free arm and told to Atticus Batman: "I assume that we have to deal with another friend of yours. You are crawled around my ship just like bunch cockroaches. But what will decent landlord do in case like that? He exterminates all of them. Let me think a second..." Boris rubbed his squared jaw once again and made a decision: "I think I just found a solution to our little pest problem. Our crew is not present there at moment and that allows your friend to act without intervention. We are going to maintain that situation, but we also are going to change conditions there. The lack of the oxygen gave me an idea...We are going to have a small fire drill. That means sealing off that particular section and creating a vacuum. I wonder how long your friend will survive there? Let's find it out together, shall we?" Boris pushed couple of knobs on his console with his free hand, locking airtight lids of hatches which connected laboratory with the rest of the submarine into their places, so nobody could not get out from the lab area and started the suction process... "You know, Protector," said Boris after that, looking at Atticus Batman with his eyes which became suddenly very tired for a brief moment. "Ever since our path crossed, you have caused me quite a lot troubles...This cat and mouse game has sort of worn me out. I think I need a vacation soon...Maybe in the Capital of Votanis Collective after it ceases to exist...That actually sounds like a good idea."

"Saved self. Coming Atticus!" Lady's EGO communicated to my EGO. Followed by the much more rugged and manly voice of Taffer as he responded with a message of his own.
Shortly after that one, came another message, "A steady progress on my main task," Taffer said to Atticus, "The fire in the engine will finish all that petrohol isn't enough toxic for. I just need to keep the engine for a while and it all will be a matter of minutes."
Just then the Captain started talking. "We discovered an intruder inside the laboratory," was announced to the Captain who quickly forwarded the rest of the message to Boris, so latter could decide what to do about the situation. The latter rubbed his rough chin with his free arm and told to Atticus Batman:
"I assume that we have to deal with another friend of yours. You are crawled around my ship just like bunch cockroaches. But what will decent landlord do in case like that? He exterminates all of them. Let me think a second..." Boris rubbed his squared jaw once again and made a decision:
"I think I just found a solution to our little pest problem. Let's find it out together, shall we?"
I quickly sent an EGO message to Taffer saying, "I hope the Predator armor you are wearing is the same one you had modified to survive the vacuum of space when we went to the Moon, because you are about to have another such experience, possibly including fire. However I will try to stop the vacuum as fast as I can. Of course that does mean my speeding the conflict up a bit on the Bridge, Which could be fun for me! Especially since it looks like the mutineers are just waiting for the right moment to strike and we are about to give them one!"
Boris pushed couple of knobs on his console with his free hand, locking airtight lids of hatches which connected laboratory with the rest of the submarine into their places, so nobody could not get out from the lab area and started the suction process...
Then I said calmly to Boris, "You are the one that keeps going on and on and on about human ingenuity. So as he is human, I am just as curious to see how things go for him. However it appears that your ingenuity has been failing you lately...and because of a group led by a crazy and homicidal Votan at that. It must suck to be you at the moment. However don't worry for you will soon be able to take a permanent nap."
Just then, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Stu Bidasoe nod at one of his men standing near the Captain. So as I watched the man quietly walk up to and shank the Captain from behind, covering his mouth to hide any sound as he lowered the dead captain to the floor, I said calmly to Boris, "It is not my team that you should have been watching so closely, it is yours. It appears you now have one dead Captain and I doubt it will stop there. So your walls have already started to come crumbling down."
As Boris glared at me, Bidasoe raised his hand and gestured his men to start the mutiny. Then he said to Boris, "Your Captain is dead and you are next you pathetic old fool! This ship and crew are now MINE!"
Boris merely smiled sinisterly at Stu, then pushed a button on his hailer. As Bidasoe's men started the mutiny, those still loyal to Boris started fighting back against the mutineers. While the mutiny had begun, two of the guards continued to keep their weapons on me, not sure if they should take a side or just keep me on the sidelines with them. Stu on the other hand stepped past me and towards Boris. Then he said spitefully to Boris, "Just what the hell are you smiling about you senile old fool?! Your reign is over!"
Boris's smile only grew bigger as he looked at the door onto the Bridge and raised a finger to point towards it. As Stu and I looked toward the door, a big brute of a human who appeared to be on some sort of muscle enhancing drug had just entered and was walking towards us. Before long he and Stu were involved in a battle of their own. As the guards took their gaze off me to watch the brute and Stu, I grabbed both their heads from behind and slammed them together, rendering both men unconscious. Then I quickly knelt and retrieve my gear from the guard that still had it on him.
However as I stood and instinctively re-holstered all my gear, I heard the obvious click of a gun being cocked coming from the other side of the table where Boris was still sat, as far as I knew. So out of instinct, I pulled out a throwing knife, spun on the ball of a foot and released it as I turned. It had the desired affect of impaling Boris's hand and causing him to drop the revolver he was holding as he muttered a string of insults at me. Then he looked up and his eyes bulged out as he realized I had taken that little moment of painful distraction to make my final move on him.
For as he raised his hailer with his good hand and said, "Stop or your wifely property dies!" I had come running towards the table with my sword now in hand and lunged forward, sliding across the table towards him with my sword pointed forward. As I imbedded it deeply in his chest but managing to miss any vital organ out of years of practice, the momentum caused me to release my blade and sent me flying over his impaled body as he was knocked to the floor with his chair, where I hit the wall hard with a sickening thud. I quickly but painfully returned to my feet and turned to look at Boris. The hailer had fallen from his hand and shattered on the floor as he had instinctively grabbed the blade being plunged into him. Now with him on the floor bleeding he was trying desperately to pull the blade from his gut, while at the same time trying to crawl in the direction where his gun had landed when my knife had been impaled in one of his hands.
I walked over to Boris and stomped on the knife in his hand driving it's blade completely through the bone and muscle to stick out of the other side of his hand, as I grabbed my sword hilt and yanked hard, as if I were Arthur pulling the sword from the stone. Once the sword was back in my possession I re-sheathed it. As that was happening Stu Bidasoe had gotten lucky for when Boris's gun had been knocked from his hand it went off and the errant bullet had struck and killed the brute before it could finish crushing Stu's neck. However I did not know that or that Stu was watching me and heading slowly in my direction at the moment.
So as I had re-sheathed my bloody blade, I stepped on Boris's open chest wound, grinding the heel of my heavy boot into it. The I knelt on his chest and leaned slightly forward. As he raised his hands to try to futilely defend himself I grabbed him forcefully by both of his wrists.
Then I said very venomously, "DO NOT WORRY ABOUT OR EVER MENTION MY WIFE AGAIN..THAT IS FOR THE LITTLE TIME YOU HAVE LEFT! UNLIKE YOU SHE WILL BE FINE FOR YOU UNDERESTIMATED HER AND SHE GOT AWAY FROM YOUR GOONS! JUST AS YOU ARE ABOUT TO BE TORN APART FOR CROSSING MY PATH AND UNDERESTIMATING ME! SO NOW...DEATH SENDS HIS REGARDS AND I SEND YOU TO THE DEEPEST DEPTHS OF HELL KNOWING YOU WERE BESTED BY A VOTAN!"
Next, still firmly holding Boris's wrists, I started to stand up, pulling on them with all my strength as I did so, with the intent to follow through with my promise to rip him limb from limb. Even with the mutiny going on around us the sounds of Boris's flesh and bone tearing as he screamed in agony could be clearly heard. That is when my EGO warned me of Stu's approach, shortly before I heard the tale-tell click of Boris's pistol being once-again cocked as Stu pushed it against the back of my helmet.
Then Stu said arrogantly, as he was certain he had won the ultimate game of domination, "YES Violent beast! Finish HIM!_____Then I will see just how bulletproof your helmet is at point-blank range! After that, my men will make quick and easy work of both your team and the rest of Boris's, starting with that dreadful Hubert fool and your lovely wife!"

Far underground, in the mining digging machine, the muscles in Lena Marr's tense body visibly relaxed from Marcel Lestrange's gentle massaging of her shoulders, and she soon released the hilt of her Bowie knife, as she turned her impassive chalk white face to her lover saying sincerely, "My life is not worth a hill of beans - at least without you. But you are right, scrip IS scrip."
Her characteristic wicked grin crossed her pretty chalk white face as a gleam of happiness appeared in her unblinking sky blue eyes as she remarked cheerfully, "I love you Pooh bear! You take such good care of me - saving me even from myself!" Then she kissed him long and deep, and began massaging him through his pants in an area much lower than where he had massaged her.
In the seat in front of them, Belle Starr still sat with her pale forehead against the dash of the digger, her eyes still held tightly shut, but behind her eyelids the bright red light in her eye' pupils dimmed as she heard the diabolical lovebirds, allowing her to go back to pondering her surrounding circumstances and her connections to the Volge. The only thing that allowed her any focus at all was when she thought of Vo Kshaa and the love they shared.
"But how can Vo love me if I'm the monster I fear I may be?" Belle thought to herself as a tear escaped from under her eyelid. "Vo's my only anchor to reality, but I'm also afraid if I stay near him, I'll destroy him, and I wouldn't want to live if he was gone! What am I going to do? I need him, I love him, but if I stay with him, I'll destroy the very thing I love!"
The irony that the diabolical duo could be so happily in love when Vo and she always tried to do the right thing causing such happiness to elude them was not lost on Belle.

Aboard Boris' submarine, the bright glow from Lady Christianna' pendant told her that her husband Atticus Batman was near, and Lady smiled enigmatically as she heard loud voices and the sound of battle nearby. With the Beatle's song "Help" playing in her mind, she pulled the two revolvers from her belt that she had taken from the guards she knocked out, chambering a bullet in each, when she got a message from her EGO psyche that made her pause.
"EGO powers are now accessible," Reported MOM in a tired voice via the telepathic link they shared.
"Awesome!" Replied Lady silently as an enigmatic smile crossed her chalk white face, happy to hear from MOM after not being able to for so long. "Engage cloak and its perks please."
With a revolver in each small hand, Lady entered the room where the noises emanated from, seeing with large pink eyes a scene that made the music in her head disappear in a blink of an eye. Atticus stood in a room of carnage with a bloody arm in each hand while a human stood behind him with a gun cocked and pointed at Atticus' helmeted head.
"YES Violent beast! Finish HIM!_____Then I will see just how bulletproof your helmet is at point-blank range! After that, my men will make quick and easy work of both your team and the rest of Boris's, starting with that dreadful Hubert fool and your lovely wife!" Said the human in an arrogant tone.
"Nobody threatens my Atticus," yelled Lady appearing out of her cloak nearby with a raised pistol in each hand.
The action caused Lady's torn tunic to fall open exposing one small alabaster breast, which distracted Stu for just a split second. Lady used that moment to fire both guns at him, hitting him repeatedly pushing him back away from Atticus and into a wall. Lady didn't quit firing until both pistols were empty and Stu's shredded body slid bloodily down the wall into a sitting position.
"Nobody threatens my Atticus," Lady reaffirmed in a whisper, then her large eyes went even bigger as a charge blade protruded from between her small breasts.
Her pink eyes fluttering closed, Lady fell to the floor like a dead weight, revealing Hubert grinning evilly behind her, a charge blade in one hand and a quick blaster in the other. As Atticus stared in disbelief, his EGO reported as Lady's heartbeat quickly faded until it was heard no more.

Post by Volodja Uljanov on Jan 27, 2017 20:23:57 GMT
Doctor Euthanasius Todt turned the glance of his bulgy eyes towards his beeping hailer. After seeing what was on the screen, he sighted and begun to pack. Several virus and antidote samples were put into safety of a metal suitcase. Doctor removed a data stick from computer and stored it there as well. He closed the case and measured it's weight it in his hand. It was light enough to carry it with no effort whatsoever. At least physically. But it's contents were actually heavyweight when to think outside of physical parameters - they were able to change the world and that made the burden really heavy. At least for some people. But Doctor Todt took the suitcase into his hand without an effort and went to the door. Two security guards blocked his way. Doctor stared them for a second and sighed: "I know lads that you have your duty to fulfil. But I remember that at the end of this adventure you will hand me over to the Votanis Collective. I don't like that idea. It just doesn't suit my plans. And this adventure is about to reach into that point. My sources informed me that Boris is most likely dead, his plans are about to be stopped and to be honest - my plans here are also fulfilled. I do wish that there could be some more intelligent people among my small audience, but man can't have anything. But an intelligent man is able to get himself at least few possessions and one of them is THIS." Doctor Euthanasius Todt pulled out pistol and pointed it to guards, stating coldly: "Late Eugen, was not only one who bribed your colleagues. I made a more useful deal than him, when to think about it and got myself this handgun. I know how to use it, so you can drop yours to the floor NOW!" Two guns were thrown to the flood and Doctor Todt wiped guards to enter. He stepped backwards and gave a sign to close the door when they were inside. In the laboratory Doctor Todt ordered them to turn around and knocked them out with two strong blows with the butt of his pistol. He didn't bothered himself with hiding the bodies too much. Pushing them under lab tables was sufficient from his point of view. By the time the guards are discovered or regain their senses, whichever happens first, Doctor Todt won't be on board of the ship any more. Unfortunately for him, Doctor Quinn happened to enter on the wrong moment, so Doctor Todt decided to share his misfortune with her by pressing his pistol barrel between her ribs and telling her to accompany him on a little walk. "Definitely not my day," sighed Doctor Quinn, walking in front of Doctor Todt while unpleasant pressure told her that Todt's gun was still pointed at her. "Not my day either, but since you are here and able to understand what I have to tell then I should be grateful for the opportunity to share my thoughts and plans with you. If one has a good scheme then that one actually wants to share it with the people when it succeeds. Vanity, you know. Just don't say a word, but listen. Have you ever seen an old movie series, called "Die Hard"? No? But I have. The main plot line there was creating a diversion and make others to believe that there were totally different operation going on. Why, you may ask. Because it bought mastermind enough time to finish the real operation. But these mastermind were stopped by one stubborn man. Fortunately we don't have that problem right now. Your most capable left the ship... Anyway, I used the chance as well when your people went after Boris. You see -my island became quite...Viral, so there was no way, I could work in conditions like these. But then Boris created an excellent diversion when he fled. That diversions was very believable, because poor Boris actually believed in his cause. While you were chasing him and patching things up, I had enough time to create some new viruses and vaccines. You even provided me not only with the laboratory and peaceful working conditions, but also delivered bunch of new samples to me. You see - I sort of pulled all the strings under your own noses. Even Boris's targets were arranged by us. I happened to have a connection with the satellites he used to observe the situation in contaminated islands, so I hadn't any problems to coordinate his movement and choice of targets with the help of my man on board. Just like you, Boris didn't suspect a thing. We were on the verge of collapse was when that stupid Eugen decided to satisfy his fleshly urges. But he is dead anyway, and the problem was solved, so we could go on with my plan. Now I can finally go and make some decent scrip by offering my merchandise to the highest bidder - humans, Votans - what do I care who obtains it as long as I get paid." The row of Doctor Todt's unfortunate events was meant to continue because he occidentally met bunch of guards who run after Bonzo the Ratmonkey who managed to get himself free again. Doctor Tod pointed his gun towards them and Bonzo, gave a friendly advice to put their guns down and leave him alone, unless they want some...things to happen. "Back off!" he shouted when guards didn't listen. "Or I will shoot somebody!" His shout was so loud that reached even into ears of Sandy Bell who spent time in holo room with his recovering lover Volodja Uljanov, Wolfram von Eschen and Count Giacomo Casannuendo. She was also recovering from the emotional trauma after she lost her unborn child. Hearing that alarming shout made her act like a soldier again. Reluctantly Sandy let go Voldoja's hand. told him to stay in bed and pulled redwood walking can off from Wolfram von Eschen's fingers despite of his protests. That cane was closest thing to weapon they had there, so she squeezed it tightly in her fist and pushed the holo room door abruptly open. Terry Pratchett once wrote that scientists have calculated that the chances of something so patently absurd actually existing are millions to one. But magicians have calculated that million-to-one chances crop up nine times out of ten. This time wasn't an exception because door, opened by Sandy Bell, hit the back of Doctor Euthanasius Todt who happened to stand right in front of it when he faced security guards. Sudden hit caused him to not only move forwards himself but made him push Doctor Quinn even further so she got away from Todt. That hit also made Doctor Todt not only drop his pistol from his far reached hand, but also his suitcase and stumble few steps towards the guards. Sandy rose the cane instinctively and hit Doctor Todt with it, making him fell to his knees and push his pistol further when he placed hands in front of himself to ease the impact on landing and suddenly hit the pistol with one of them. Todt got back to his feet right away and slammed holo room door close, making Sandy stumble backwards when she tried avoid getting hit. Sandy made few steps and fell into the sick bed of Volodja Uljanov. Soft landing for her. She released the walking cane, making Wolfram von Eschen to forget his delicate age and leap after it. His landing wasn't that soft but he managed to catch his treasure. Outside the holo room events continued. Now it was Bonzo's turn to take initiative. The rat monkey spotted shiny object, run to it and grabbed the pistol pointing it into direction of Doctor Todt. Bonzo's forefinger found the trigger and before anyone could say or do anything, Bonzo pulled it. BAM! Monkeys, even if they were rare Ratmonkeys, aren't best shooters. Bonzo missed the not so good Doctor Todt by far, but unfortunately for Todt that damned "nine out of ten" rule decided to hang around in case it was needed again. The bullet ricocheted from the wall and hit the side of Doctor Todt's right buttock, making him to turn around and flee. Sharpshooter Bonzo was as startled as Todt himself, he dropped the pistol and fled to the opposite side ending up on chest of one of the guards, forearms tightly around his neck. The rest of guards were too busy with laughing, so Doctor Todt managed to escape. He run into a life pod and left the ship for good. Although Sandy was ready to jump out of the bed and catch the Doctor, but Volodja who already spooning Sandy, put his arm over her body and sinking his nose into her blonde hair whispered: "I think that others can handle that thing." Although he felt still sick and sad about the loss of their child, being close to Sandy comforted him and he hoped that closeness does her good as well. "He is already gone," said Count Casannuendo who opened the door after Todt was gone and peeked out. "Only his pistol and suitcase are on the floor." "See, Sandy," said Volodja Uljanov. "Although Todt escaped, he left his most valuable possessions behind, so he didn't got a thing out of this story. Besides - I have a feeling that it won't be our last meeting with Doctor Todt. Sooner or later he will pop out. At least Bonzo got his revenge." And he smiled.

As I stared in disbelief, my EGO reported as Lady's heartbeat quickly faded until it was heard no more.
With my rage once again starting to boil over, I took the arms in my hands and used one to hit the weapons from Hubert's hands, as I smacked him with the other one. Then as he stumbled back, I mentally maxed the strength of my powertech armor and put my fist in his chest and through his ribcage, where I grabbed and literally ripped out his still beating heart, with him looking at it in shock as I then crushed it in one hand as I grabbed and crushed his neck in the other, damn near decapitating him with the strength of my armor and rage.
Then I tossed his nasty remains towards some random sailor and stomped on Boris's skull crushing it for good meassure, before I knelt by Lady, ignoring the battle around me as my EGO informed me that the blade somehow barely missed the vital organs, so her heart probably just stopped due to the sudden shock of the stabbing and all the traumas her body had already endured recently. So I focused my rage into channelling my power into my hands and after several unsuccessful attempts with my EGO telling me there was no change, I finally got her heart beating again. Although it was very feint and uneven. So I gently grasped her pendant in my hand, and transfered a lot of my energy into it hoping that it would be able to mantain Lady's heartbeat like a pacemaker until I could get her to a doctor. Then I picked her up and laid her gently on the table. Next I contacted the Riot as I looked around trying to maintain my control long enough to get Lady medical help and try to help Taffer as well.
I mentally yelled, "Atika you better be daking listening!"
To which she replied, "Of course Commander! Miss Widowmaker is here with me and we are right above you. The ADF have a blockade at the river mouth and the ADF also now has a couple ships running along side the sub getting ready to send a team over. Although it would be easier if you could stop the thing!"
As I had gotten her reply, I had drawn my sword and ran through a couple men from both sides of the mutiny. Then I walked over to the sub's controls and after fighting with them for a few seconds, with my EGO's help I managed to get the vacuumized pressure in the lab stopped and I returned some oxygen to it. Then I slammed it into an all-stop, but left the engine chugging away in case Taffer still needed it.
I then connected Taffer's EGO to the line and said, "Taffer, I stopped the vacuum in the lab and returned it's air and pressure back to normal. The mutiny broke out. The leaders are dead on both sides, but Lady was severely injured. The sub has just been switched to all-stop, but I believe the good engine is still on. The ADF are boarding the sub to get it under control now and I need to get Lady onto the Riot so I can take her through the portal to get medical aid from the Vigilant! If you still need help, then say so as Erika is on the Riot above us and I can always send Kaj through the portal if needed as well!"
Then I walked back towards Lady, stabbing Stu Bidasoe's lifeless body as I walked past it to ensure that he is also dead and killing a couple more of the enemy sailors as well. Once I was back at the table, with Lady's pendant around her neck now acting as an external pacemaker for her, I re-sheathed my blade. Then I pulled Lady's shirt closed and kissed her gently as I lifted her into my arms. Then As I quickly but carefully moved out of the Bridge avoiding any of the residual fighting, I said over EGO, "Atika! Lower a stretcher for me to put Lady on and notify the Vigilant that we have a critical patient coming through the portal!"
As I got to the main hatch some ADF officers , of various different human, Votan and Dingorigine races were coming into the sub. Seeing me with Lady in my arms and recognizing us as part of Atika's crew based on the descriptions she had given them, they helped me get Lady up the ladder. Once on the sub's deck, I saw the stretcher hanging there from the Riot, and a couple of the ADF helped me secure Lady. Then I ordered Atika, via EGO, to raise the stretcher back onto the Riot and drop a ladder for me. Once Lady was aboard the Riot, a rope ladder was dropped down and I very quickly climbed it.
Right after that I helped medic Jameson carry Lady's stretcher to the dark matter portal onboard. I then quickly activated the portal and we carried Lady through and straight to the infirmary. Once some of the medical staff rushed over to start trying to help Lady, I ordered Medic Jameson to return to the Riot incase they still needed a medic. Then I stood nearby watching and praying that Lady would be alright and back for the homecoming she had promised and, not for the first time, wishing the circumstances were reversed and it were me on that bed instead of her.

Atticus mentally yelled through his EGO, "Atika you better be daking listening!"
Atika replied, "Of course Commander! Miss Widowmaker is here with me and we are right above you. The ADF have a blockade at the river mouth and the ADF also now has a couple ships running along side the sub getting ready to send a team over. Although it would be easier if you could stop the thing!"
Atticus then connected Taffer's EGO to the line and said, "Taffer, I stopped the vacuum in the lab and returned it's air and pressure back to normal.
Erika Widowmaker put a reassuring hand on Atika's shoulder, saying confidently, "You are doing a fine job here Captain Constantine. I believe my brother may need my help more than you do."
Erika knew that if Lady was critically injured, her brother and Lady's husband would be barely able to contain his rage. She didn't want to think how Atticus would react if Lady died, for in times past when he thought her dead, he had gone from self-destructive urges to murderous resolve. However during those times, she had not been with her brother so she hoped her presence could help to keep him steady.
When Erika got to the cargo bay, she saw Atticus' and the medics's backs as they carried Lady on her stretcher through the Black Matter portal and disappear, whereupon she followed right after them to the Vigilant. As they emerged from the portal Erika heard a gunshot, so rather than follow her brother and the others to the infirmary, she drew her Magnam pistol and ran towards where she had heard the shot. She ran into a corridor, seeing the rat-monkey running around loose and several and several guards - laughing?!?!
"What is the meaning of this?" Asked Erika authoritatively, irritation obvious in her voice.
The laughter died in the guards throats as they stiffened into attention as one of them answered pointing down another corridor, "Dr. Todt took Dr. Quincy captive, then was shot by the rat-monkey in the... ass. He went down that way."
"Then why aren't you chasing him! Never mind, too late to catch him from here. Consider yourselves on report," Erika asked, barely able to hold in her anger, then went to her hailer, "Any ship's personnel near the Vigilant's escape pods, secure them and if you see Dr. Todt, secure him too." "He is already gone," said Count Casannuendo who opened the door after Todt was gone and peeked out. "Only his pistol and suitcase are on the floor."
Erika smiled with the corners of her lush lips at the diminutive Liberata, gathering Todt's possessions, then nodding her thanks to the Count just as a crewman's voice over her hailer confirmed what he said, "Dr. Todt's gone. He took one of the escape pods. Sorry Commander Widowmaker."
Erika rushed to the infirmary where she saw Atticus standing nearby watching and praying that Lady would be alright and back for the homecoming she had promised and, not for the first time, wishing the circumstances were reversed and it was him on that bed instead of her. Suddenly Lady's body writhed in pain for a moment as Dr Quinn rushed to aid her. Both Erika's and Atticus' EGO psyches both confirmed that Lady's heart had again stopped. Before either Atticus or Erika could move, Lady's body glowed blue with such intensity that they had to shield their eyes from the glare. When their eyesight cleared, all they could see of Lady was a a cloud of burning blue embers, that drifted up to the ceiling before disappearing.
Erika quickly put a hand on Atticus' arm to steady him, whispering in his ear, "This means nothing. We do not know that Lady is dead. She has appeared to die before, much like this, and come back to us. Have faith in the Gods."
However, Erika was not as sure of what she said as she hoped she appeared.
