During the Pale Wars, Kabule was a (23 yr old) member of the Ekaru Kome's elite commando unit, Shkathe'Nado. So officially he was fighting somewhere in the bay areas of California. Unofficially, a Votanis Collective government-sanctioned assassin, he was infiltrating an EMC bunker somewhere in San Francisco to kill it's commanding officers so that squad would retreat and leave the unguarded base available for the Shkathe'Nado to take control of and use as a more permanent base of operations, and further establish their control of San Francisco.
Laying on his stomach on a grass hill overlooking the base he was sent to infiltrate, the experienced assassin and occasional spy, watched the base closely to learn the guards' routine while he was trying to determine the best way inside. Eventually he spotted an easily accessible vent through his scope. The problem was that it was inside the guarded parameter. He also spotted an open loading dock door in that same base, so it had the same problem. However he soon spotted a solution literally coming his direction. A military cargo envoy was just down the road heading toward the EMC Bunker and would soon be passing the hill that Kabule was perched on.
So when he felt the timing was right, Kabule aimed his silenced sniper rifle at the rear-most truck and with a well placed shot, took out one of it's tires. The truck swerved then stopped as it's driver regained control. Then both occupants got out and moved to the front to examine their blown out tire. With the rear guard currently out of commission and now occupied, Kabule waited until the right moment when the middle truck, the Cargo truck, was just passing below him.
Then he jumped off the hill and dropped down onto the Cargo truck's roof. Once on it, he quickly lay back on his stomach as he glanced back to make sure the occupants of the rear truck didn't notice him, which of course they hadn't since they were currently trying to change their 'blown-out' tire. Fortunately the inhabitants of the Cargo truck glanced out their windows and noticing some smaller pebbles rolling down the nearby hill, the just assumed a rock had tumbled down the hill and hit the roof of their truck. Of course they were only partly right, for it wasn't a rock but an assassin and he didn't tumble down the hill but jumped off of it and onto their truck but they had no way of knowing that since they didn't look on their roof. So they continued on to the EMC Bunker they were to deliver their load too.
When the truck pulled up to the gate, the guards checked under it and in the back to make sure it was safe, but neglected to look on it's roof for stowaways. So not seeing any, they told the convoy to pull in and directed the Cargo truck to pull into the loading dock. Then it's drivers were to immediately exit the loading dock and wait for base personnel to unload the truck before they could return to the dock and pick it up. So they pulled into the loading dock and stepped outside and walked over to where the parameter guard had ordered them to wait. After they had left the dock, Kabule still laying on the truck's roof, looked around and spotting a vent on a nearby wall into the basing air ducts, silently slid off the truck. Then activating the cloak on his 'experimental' EGO unit, he made his way to the vent location. Moving a few things around quickly he was able to use some shelving to climb up to the vent. His luck was still with him for the vent wasn't secure. So Kabule removed it and after maneuvering himself into it feet first, he pulled the vent closed.
Once it was back in place, Kabule backed up until his EGO detected that he had come to a T section. So he turned himself until he was facing the section leading further into the base. Before long he came to a vent and exited it, finding himself in a storeroom. After exiting the storeroom, he carefully worked his way through the halls toward where the blueprints he had seen during his mission briefing told him the ranking Officer's room was. When he got there he silently picked the door lock and let himself in. The room was dark, but he had great night vision. So the assassin was able to navigate through the bunker and found the base commander asleep in his bed. So Kabule pulled out a very jagged blade and slit the man's throat. Then he searched the room to find the commander's keys and key-card. Once he had those. He worked his way back to the door and slightly opened it to peek into the hall. Noticing another officer on his 'hit-list' walking by, Kabule swiftly grabbed the guy from behind and snapped his neck before he could let out a sound. Then Kabule moved the body into the small quarters where he had left the Commander's body.
Then he once again checked the hall. Seeing it clear, he reactivated his cloak and worked his way through the halls to the bunker's main armory. Once he got to it, he went inside using the Commander's key-card. Then after entering he pulled out a throwing knife threw it with practiced precision into the Armory guard that was sitting at the armory's computer, killing him instantly. Once that was done, he stuffed the guard into a crate and closed it. Then using the armory computer that the guard hadn't had time to lock, Kabule hacked into the armory's door codes and changed it's lock protocol so only the Base Commander key-card (still in his position) could open the armory. Then he examined the computer for any files that would be of use to his superiors or lead him to any other high ranking officers on-base that he was to assassinate. After copying them to a small thumb drive, Kabule left the armory and worked his way to the Base's Mess hall. Once there, he cloaked and proceeded to work on closing and locking all but one of the doors from in the hallways, using the Base Commander's keys to do so, and for good measure he also used piping or emergency fire-hose or fire extinguishers or whatever else was nearby to further block the doors from opening, in case somebody inside happened to have a key and could use it before he got to them. Once only one door remained unblocked, Kabule entered it and closed it behind himself. Then he used the Base Commander's key to lock it. Right after locking it and turning to look at the crowded Mess Hall, his cloak ended. However he started throwing all the knives he had on him into new victims right before he was noticed. Of course armed soldiers in the Mess drew their guns and started firing at him. However he merely dodged and flipped over tables to use as cover, as he threw knives at them. Once he had thrown his last knife, he switched to his trusty Monitor sidearm and started shooting any of the still-living armed guards. Once they were dispatched, he switched to his charge-blade and started slicing through anybody still alive in the room.
He was currently in the middle of ruthlessly slaughtering a good portion of the EMC officers deep in that bunker and currently in the Mess hall when they heard an emergency alert over the Base's comm systems. So that meant that once he was done in this Mess hall that he would most likely have to wait, hidden from sight, until he was sure it was safe for him to leave the base. So he now had more time, as the base's inhabitants would be sealing all external doors and vents to wait out whatever was happening outside. So that would also give him a lot more time to go through their files when possible, but staying in the shadows and unseen during his time there. It also meant that it was no extremely likely that all the brutal murders he was in the process of causing in the Mess Hall would spark even more panic if discovered because a freshly mutated creature could easily be on the loose and causing most of the chaos, as Kabule knew most panicked people, even well-trained soldiers, would be to freaked by the slaughter to think about the locked and blocked doors.
So once all Mess Hall inhabitants were lifeless and bloodied bodies and he had retrieved all of his blooded knives, after wiping them off on their dead victims, Kabule unlocked the door that he had entered through. Leaving it open, he made his way to the base's command center, cloaking or staying in the shadows as much as possible, and only killing any that got in his way. When he got near it, he located the duct system into the Command center. Then pulling out a small vial of a poison he had created, Kabule put on a ventilation mask he had swiped from the armory.
Once it was secured, Kabule pried open the vents leading directly into the Command Center. Then crawling through the ducts, he opened the vent into the command center just enough that he was able to toss the vial into the room. Once it had left his hand, he re-closed the vent with him still inside. Shortly after the vial broke it's contents which were actually an airborne poison made to get into a victim's lungs and cause their whole body to shut down, was released into the air. Now it was a waiting game. A waiting game to Kabule's ears for it involved all of his victims screaming in agony as the breathed in poison out away at them from the inside. Kabule knew from testing it that it would take several minutes to completely kill it's targets during which time they would be in so much pain that most wouldn't be able to even move. So all they could do was indeed scream in pain as their insides were destroyed. Kabule also knew that the poison would quickly dissipate and be rendered inert by the oxygen in the room, which would likely happen before it's victims had all finally died. So it would once again be safe to breathe the air at that time and no trace of the poison would ever be found which meant he merely had to wait it out and enjoy the screams of pain from it's targets.
After all the screams had died down, he peeked back through the vent, and not seeing any movement, he reopened the vent and slid out of it into the Command Center. After re-securing the vent, he surveyed the room and seeing nobody moving, he walked over and locked the door into the Command Center. Then he proceeded to hack into it's systems and start searching for files. After finding what he could on those systems, he unlocked the door and stepped back into the hall. Then he worked his way to a nearby file-room to search through the files there while waiting out the tera-forming alarms.
Needless to say, as they had no clue of who or what slaughtered their commanding officers or all of those in the Mess hall,or what could have happened in the Command Center exactly, most of the remaining humans either panicked and turned on each other, or tried to flee the base before getting the all clear, as most if not all the respected or feared Commanding officers were dead, or turning up dead. Kabule however just watched, the low ranking officers' reactions and panic, from the shadows and continued to dig through their systems for valuable information, just in case one of the humans got smart and locked or destroyed all important files. Then once the automated warning alarms had stopped and he used his EGO to ensure it was safe to go outside, Kabule no longer bothered with stealth. Instead he slaughtered the few remaining personnel that crossed his path as he walked towards the base's main doors.
Upon exiting, he looked around. Although it was now quite dark, he could tell that the environment around him that was green hours ago was now a bleak wasteland with odd rock formations littering the area and a dust storm going on where there was once greenery. However that wasn't his concern. His concern was getting his newly acquired information to his superiors and reporting that his ruthless slaughter had left the bunker very vacant and ready for their takeover. So spotting a motorcycle tipped over on a dead soldier, Kabule walked over to it. Standing it upright, he checked and it started right up. So Kabule hopped on it and headed out of the base's perimeter and towards his rendezvous point where he would turn over his information and report his success. Then he would be off to his next assignment to take control of this land and kill any that stood in the way of the Votanis Collective.
